The method works but make sure you read the fine print on the first statement. If you delinquent on the first payment whether you choose to pay the total or the minimum installment, you will forfeit the $100 dollars credit automatically. It took me many calls with the SONY card manger to get my credit back because I was late on one of the monthly payment. In my case, it took them two months to put the credit back on my card. Thankfully, there is no interest for the first 12 months. I bought two 80G PS3 using this method with two separate cards last year.
