Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid May Bring a PS3 Collection
For days, many reported hearing the happy screaming of gamers across the globe, regarding the announcement of a God of War Collection. Now, it’s possible that new collections for Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid are coming.
As you may have read by the title, coming from the announcement of the God of War Collection, some publishers were contacted whether they would do this. Konami gave a very pleasing answer, saying:
“We are constantly exploring unique ways to expose players to some of our legacy titles such as Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill….Re-releasing games on Blu-ray presents an exciting opportunity for a publisher, however we have no announcements at this time”.
Who would like Metal Gear Solid, 2, 3 and 4 all in one Blu-ray disc? How about Silent Hill? Post your comments below!

I’d like to have MG, MG2, MGS MGS2 and MGS3 on a single BRD. I only finished MGS4 and I currently am half through MGS

If I had The MGS series on Bluray, I wouldn’t need my backward compatible PS3 anymore. My old MGS games were the only reason B/C was important to me.

I would absolutely LOVE the whole Silent Hill series on the PS3!!! I’m a huge fan of horror/survival and have always wanted to play those games, but even used copies are fairly expensive.

MGS 4 would not be on the same disc as 1,2,3 as it already used up one for itself. I would buy them if they included trophy’s and 1 was the one from gamecube with 2’s gameplay. I would buy all kinds of games again if they did what God of War did.

Missed out on Metal Gear Solid on PS1 and really want to play it.

l would love an MGS collection although l don’t think you could put MGS 4 in one Blu-ray disc along with the others since they had to use a dual layered one for MGS 4 to just barely fit on

Better put inverted controls in Silent Hill – Last game didnt have them and I had to take the game back for a refund.

I really just want MGS 3, but would gladly take the other two if a collection comes out. As for Silent Hill, I’m not really into horror games.

I’ve never played any of these games that are in these collections. So bring them on and release a DMC collection with DMC 4 and trophies PLEASE!

Silent Hill I could see on Blu-ray either by including Silent Hill 2 & 3 or maybe all four games. Metal Gear Collection would be nice if it included MGS2 and MGS3 with trophies and updating the graphics. I bet Konami probably wants to see how God of War Collection sells before deciding to do so or maybe they will announce it in the Fall. It would be cool to see a MGS Collection before Metal Gear Solid Rising comes out next year.

Sorry didn’t really buy a PS3 to play PS1 games and only got the BC enabled 60gig to play a handfull of PS2 games.

for MGS wouldnt it be better if they reproduce the substance/subsistance versions along with a new version of MGS4 of the same nature?? it would certainly make much more sense than just re-releaseing the original package. plus it would give them a chance to reignite the multiplayer in MGS3 as well.

This would be great. Sony is making much out of the lack of BC of the PS3. I hope they add MGS4 to the collection and would make into 2 BD (unless they use the new BD technology which I heard can hold upto 200gb i think). And Silent Hill would also be a nice treat. I hope that younger generation gamers would also enjoy what we had. Although I’m not hoping that much.
