We’ve seen the images, and we have seen the info. Now, it’s time to see the video! Last night on Spike, GameTrailers TV debuted the first BioShock 2 multiplayer trailer.
Check it out below and let us know what you think!
Never really enjoyed the first Bioshock that much, hated the level design. And frankly I just didn’t enjoy it that much, managing all those powers wasn’t fun, they could have tuned down on the amount of powers and made the ones they originially had nicer.
Really enjoyed the first Bioshock – the atmosphere was awesome. I don’t play multiplayer anything so they can do whatever they want here as long as they don’t ruin the single-player game.
Regardless, that video makes it look pretty fun. They’ve integrated hacking and the camera into the multi-player, which I think adds a very interesting vibe to the whole thing.
You really didn’t have to manage the powers. I just beat the game last night on survivor with no vita chambers and I rarely used the plasmids and only had the tonics you pick up for free [didn't bother with the little sisters].
Holy dude, that’s pretty damn hardcore. I like to ice things up to hack them and lighting people on fire (especially if I am upstairs and they are downstairs) is the highlight of my game. I wonder if that makes me a bad person…
Telekinesis is also a lot of fun if you are in a particularly morbid mood – grab a corpse, search it then throw it at an enemy… Good times.
Even after watching that video, I’m still very skeptical on how multiplayer will work in this game. I didn’t feel that it needed it to begin with because the first game was brilliant as a single player experience, and the gameplay didn’t feel like multiplayer would even work. That trailer looks like chaos. Everyone is a beast.
Awesome. C’mon, a game where you can throw lightning fire and ice at your enemies, and you still have guns? You get to be a big daddy? use you’re environment against your opponents? hell yes to all of this. Sure its complete chaos, but therein lies the fun. Oh and as far as that tacked on multiplayer goes, its far from it. Multiplayer is actually being developed by a completely different company so that 2K can focus on the single player. 2K stated that they didn’t feel it was a necessary thing either, but consumer demand was so high for mp. beta55 – managing powers? The options was what made it great. Every power worked very well, part of the strategy in the game is selecting what works best for you. You certainly shouldn’t expect to obtain and use them all in one go.
I have absolutely no idea what I was looking at there. Graphics look very cool though.

I get a Team Fortress vibe

Tacked on multi-player at it’s finest.
this looks insanely good.
@cameron maybe cause the models looks clumsy and doesn’t move lively. That’s the only criticism i have but above all this is a day1 purchase.
don’ really know what to say about this video. But the gameplay looks like it would be hard to master
