It’s safe to say that Amazon is known to publicize a game or console before release. The PS3 Slim was listed on Amazon Germany, and now a new listing for Grand Theft Auto IV has surfaced.
According to the listing on Amazon UK, Grand Theft Auto IV is to be getting a Platinum version (Greatest Hits equivalent for Europe). Right now, the title has a nice price of £16.99, which goes for $24.99 in North America. The regular price is £19.99, meaning this would have the price of a normal Greatest Hits title. The listing shows a release date of October 30th 2009, one day after The Ballad of Gay Tony is released for Xbox 360.

Users who are registered with Amazon.co.uk will be able to pre-order, if you have not already picked up this fantastic title. You can read PlayStation LifeStyle’s review of GTA IV here.

It may be fantastic, but it’s not fun like the previous Grand Theft Autos.

I thought it would be a GOTY edition. lol. Haven’t bought this game yet. The series is getting pretty old for me.

Man, if saints row 2 and gta4 had a baby, id love to play that, GTA kept its quality and took away all the fun, if I wanted a realistic thug life in New York, id take a plane there.

Seeing that annoying cousin makes me remember how much I did NOT enjoy this game.
For a gangster game you spent way to much time driving around trying to keep peoples “love” meters high by being an errand boy. Maybe the next one will be better but for now Saints Row meets all my needs in this area.

Finally! GTA IV is the best game ever. SR and the old gta’s are too boring and suck. If you actually played the game more than the first five missions, (unlike everyone here), you would’ve enjoyed it too.
