Despite only being available for pre-order less than a week, the recently announced God of War Collection has already received an Olympian-sized price reduction.

Ok, so it’s not exactly the biggest price cut we’ve seen, nor does it firmly place the collection in impulse buy territory. But if you found yourself needing a little something extra to not only solidify your desire for this action-packed adventure, but also push you over the fence into clicking that “add to cart” button, this certainly should suffice.

If you haven’t already pre-ordered, head on over to Amazon.com right now and get your pre-order in.

“This item will be released on December 31, 2009.” =/

ill wait till they change that date before ordering.

l will preorder this for sure

  3. hah yeah… it’ll be here for the 2009 holiday season…. yeaaaaa just barely. Hah and the EU gamers are so fired up because they won’t get it until 2010…

  4. Even though I already pre-ordered it, I still don’t know if I am going to get it. Lowering the price pushes me towards buying it though! :)

The date it is released doesn’t bother me. I would say most gamers have beat GOWI and GOWII by now. Plus, as long as it comes out before GOWIII, I am happy (at least a month before); if I decide to get it.

This is still better than what others are offering

Still a nice deal. Too bad for me, I don’t shop at amazon. :(

I don’t think Amazon’s release date is accurate. Amazon will usually pick a later date than when they actually expect a product to release if the date hasn’t been officially announced yet so I expect it earlier in December if not around Thanksgiving. I am definitely going to buy this but I may just wait and ask for it for Christmas. Since this price cut isn’t a Deal of the Day or anything I expect it will stay at this price through the release date so no need to hurry into anything.

I´m not sure about something, could i sell my GOW and GOW II copies to get another game? I´ll buy this collection anyway just don´t like the idea of selling my originals GOW. I´ve done it before, i sold my fallout 3 after i get the platinum and bought mirror´s edge, i will buy the GOTY later, so i guess i could do the same here but i still don´t like the idea of selling my babies. xD

Cool but yeah I thouht it was out sooner than that.

  13. I think all amazon games get a 3.00 price reduction. I’ve seen that for all games.

  14. I think they tend to use Dec 31st if they have a confirmed year but not an actual confirmed day; it isn’t the day they think it is coming out on. If I were to take a “programmer guess” I would bet money that they can’t enter it into their system without a valid date :)

  15. FUUUUUK!!! i already pre-ordered it last week :(

    “Olympian-sized price reduction”

-1 for abusing the great adjective, Olympian.
