The End is Nigh for Game-Blamed Violence

Jack Thompson isn’t going to like this. The man that has continually blamed Grand Theft Auto titles being involved in some cases of murder. He also expresses that video games are used for murder simulators. Now, a new study sticks it to him.

In a recent study, it was found that murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, car theft, and arson dropped in a combined percentage of 24%. However, what does that mean for certain gamers like us, Kotaku asks?

Simply put, video games have been increasing dramatically since 2006. While estimated violent crimes have been a steady rate, below the sales of video games. These numbers are pulled from both the NPD and FBI, and are meant to only show changes over time.

GAme violence is up, but real violence is down. Thats not possible. I have been told over and over again that they go hand and hand. Next thing you will tell me is gansta rap does not influence violence

This guy is a bucket of S**T.
