If you were wondering if Free Realms is still being released this year, we finally have an answer for you. But it may get you a little bummed out.

During his Q&A session at GDC Austin, John Smedley revealed that Free Realims, the PS3 console exclusive (and also on PC), was coming in the middle of 2010. He also revealed something pretty interesting as well.

“It’s next year sometime, toward the middle of the year,” he said. “For the PlayStation 3 version, it’s very likely that the Eye is going to be something we support.”

  1. i want to give this a try, i was part of the beta for the PC version and it def. had some bright spots

  2. Unless you can play with your PC character on the PS3 I think the “Middle of 2010″ is a weaksauce move.

I’ve never been able to play free realms because I have been stuck on my crappy eMachines desktop from 2005. I can’t even play because my GPU doesn’t have any software for 3D animations.

    Specs:
    Intel Celeron D 335
    256MB DDR
    80GB HDD
Intel “Extreme” Graphics 2 “3D” (“,” indicates false advertising)
    CD drive (No DVD)
And a PC World award (How?!)

I’m sure there are people who will get a chuckle out of this. My netbook performs better than my desktop. :)

I guess playing Crisis on that machine is out of the question :(

    @SolidCake_:
I don’t even think my computer could view the Crysis website. :)

Has anyone played this game before, I’m wondering because I’m considering downloading it so I’m curious if its fun to play? Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

I played it awhile ago, there is quite a lot to do. There are car racing games, puzzles, etc.
I remember the battle system being a little weak for my tastes but I’m a pretty hard core
    gamer.
You have to buy power up, but once you buy you can pretty much max out everything in a few days or less. And there are a lot of people always online.
Bottom line: I would say it’s worth downloading and checking out
