European MAG Deployment Delayed

MAG has been on the minds of hardcore shooter fans since it was introduced during E3 2008. Zipper has pushed the envelope to allow for up to 256 players to wage war online. While the MAG beta has been available for North American players, Europeans are not so lucky.
It seems Europe will have to wait a bit longer to get into the MAG beta. Zipper is having server issues that will be worked on over the weekend for this massive title. At this point Zipper will not be rolling the beta out in Europe so they won’t bombard their servers. A fix is in development and should go live as early as Monday.

fricken hell man. I been updating this beta since last night when It was stuck at 90%. Wake up 8 hours alter, and still stuck at 90%. Fix the fricken servers dammit, I want to play this game.

Same here. No wonder EUR’s been delayed. I guess now people can get off their high horse about Zipper vs. Slant 6. This is just as botched as SOCOM: Confrontation. That’s why the Beta only runs 6 hours a day, too.
ive got a friend whos been trying to download this beta for the last two days. i was in the private beta and wont be wasting my time on the public beta… i wasnt impressed. i really wish this game was a third person shooter
If the shipping,gold version does this then it’s trouble, but hey it’s a beta.

The Retail version will DL from the BR, not the server for the 2.5GB+ file, so It won’t be an issue once the Full Game is released.

I read somewhere, that the file size is gonna be larger than 2GB now. I couldn’t get past 23% download. It’s good that this is happening now and not later.

the file size for the beta will actually be 6GB once the next wave of people enter and the servers have settled, it’s pretty much the full game they said.
I have also left mine on over night. I woke up this morning it saying that it lost the server. started over around 9 this morning. all the back to 99% and now it seems to have stalled out. I just want to play… Haven Sad!
Just started hanging out at 99%, but the HDD yellow light is still cooking. I hope I don’t have to do this again…

my friend connected his PS3 to my Internet and it didn’t take that long. are you sure you guys aren’t on wireless? or basic internet service?

I download the Uncharted 2 beta in about 25 minutes. The update for MAG has problems. Not only is it slow, it also freeze at certain points. For me, those points were 15%, 90%, and 90%.
That stinks fellas , sorry to hear that I wish I was in the beta too.
@Vanilla I think what solid meant was if servers would be down or not stable. It would be the doom for this game. I hope it would feature local split-screen, or maybe even online split.
Trust me EU guys, you DO NOT want to be in the beta right now. The server issues are terrible. I’ve been trying to download for OVER 24 hours and I have not gotten past 70%. It’s sooo frustrating to go to bed with 40% then wake up at 41%. You want to stab the servers until the knife cuts through electrical wires then electrocutes you to death.

I got past in two shots. I input my Qore code and it did the first 33mb and the servers were not available. Then it updated which took nearly 5hrs and missed the server times by 10min. I have been in today in the morning and after 5pm sessions. the Dev teams are working on the problem and hope to have it all back fixed and pretty next Monday maybe…
OK, my long journey… i started the d/l next morning im looking at 90%.. my friend comes over because his mag isnt d/l’ing either… he hooks his 3 up to my internet and soon as he plugs it in, i get a unable to connect to server …so my friend goes through and round 7-8 hrs later its still going and it STOPS AT 99%!! i call my cable service providor…had them boost my internet connection…and start again… around 3 hrs. later… his mag d/l is done… i put mine on at 12:30…somewhere round 3 in the morning i wake up to a press start screen!! yesssss….NOW IF ONLY THE DAMN SERVERS WERE UP FOR THE WEEKEND!!
