Pachter: Next GTA Game Coming Sooner Than Expected

According to Wedbush Morgan’s video game analyst, Michael Pachter, we can expect the newest iteration of the highly-successful Grand Theft Auto series to appear “calendar 2010″. His prediction comes at a time where no information, whatsoever, has been released about the newest game, presumably Grand Theft Auto V.
“While we still expect a GTA game in calendar 2010, it is not clear that the game will be released before the end of Take-Two’s fiscal year ending October 31.”
Rockstar has not commented as of the time of this writing. Stick with PlayStation LifeStyle as we’ll bring you all the news regarding Rockstar’s next game.

well they do already have their engine ready im sure so this isnt that big of a stretch to go out and say this… pachter should be known as captain obvious… the dude takes takes rumors that people have been saying for months and then comes out like its a brand new idea. hes really not that great of an analyst.

i can only hope that they use a better Engine than the GTA4 engine …
IN MY OPINION GTA4 is the worst 3D GTA …
Hope they use the Blu-Ray disc this time, nothing against the 360, but i want a BIG city like San Andreas with Features like San Andreas

I know that employees of the Opie and Anthony and Ron and Fez shows have done more voice work for the new game already.
Though I didnt hate 4 as much as others, I hope for something a bit closer to S.A. than what 4 had to offer.

Honestly I enjoyed GTA4 more than previous titles, except I never played San Andreas. I really didn’t enjoy Vice City or some of the other ones. It should be noted that I’m not one that can play the same game for more than 40 hrs., at least for a single player campaign. I sold GTA4 as soon as I was done with the main story because I was basically sick of it already, but I couldn’t even finish Vice City.

really gta4 was a big rehash of the others… okay new chars and new story, better graphics. whatever, same damn game, once I finished the story I was instantly bored. I don’t want a fifth game, this is a series that should stop while its still good, like tony hawk should have done. Lets see what rockstar brings us with “Agent” instead. I’d rather a new IP than more of the same thing.

Thats a matter of opinion Kain, think its the exact opposite and I think thats obvious. I wont comment on the great gameplay though, its great but not phenomenal like San Andreas

It wont be GTA 5, since those only come once in a blue moon (and each GTA numbered release includes Liberty City). Likely it will be Vice City or San Andreas. Why VC or SA, they have been in every GTA release except GTA 2. My be they will revisit London like back in the GTA 1 days
