Last Guardian Planned for Worldwide Simultaneous Release
The Last Guardian was officially announced at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo just several months ago. Since then (and before that, the reveal of Project Trico), Team ICO’s latest project has received a sheer amount of attention from hopes of a re-release of the studio’s PlayStation 2 outings to official and off-screen footage and screens emerging on the web.
With the hype Team ICO’s latest venture has been getting, creator Fumito Ueda and his team are keen on giving The Last Guardian the attention a Team ICO game deserves. In an interview at the 2009 Tokyo Game Show, Ueda revealed that he is looking towards a worldwide, simultaneous release. If this happens, it will essentially be the first simultaneously release title from the Japanese studio (unless a certain collection makes a simultaneous release before it).

i don’t care if simultaneous release, won’t happen in my part of the world. i will still need to import.
& as it is on an uncrackable console, it will mean a big worldwide sale

Erm……wasnt a certain japanese developed game called erm………..MGS4 released simultaneously worldwide last year?

@St-Anger – Ahhh they got jobs doing this because they pay attention to detail. A pretty important thing which I suggest you do in the future before attempting to bash people. Read it closely. They say it is the first simultaneous release from THE Japanese studio, which means they are referring to Team ICO specifically, not all of Japan. I hope you feel stupid.
On another note, I hope they do release it simultaneously. Hopefully this will encourage more Japanese developers to do so, and help more games come our way from japan. I like to see a good mixing of the markets and innovative ideas.

They sometimes miss inform or not the full story..depending on the writer/story. Most the times the PSL is correct and others times you can spot an incomplete article when other sites nailed the full story.. i could give examples but thats not needed. Regardless, the site is decent with news and its kinda rude to single out 1 writer.

Read the last line of the article. Good. now feel like a dick, and an idiot. You were right that he said it was the first release for team ICO, but st anger was saying being a japanese game doesn’t matter if it’s popular enough. I don’t agree with what he said about the writers though. They miss things here and there, but they’re human, and the things they’re first on make up for it IMO. Either way I have no idea what this game is about and I have seen a couple trailers that show me a big cat/bird and thats about it.
uhhh l doubt it. It will release in Japan months early. What’s the big deal anyway, majority of games are like that when it comes down to a japanese game
heh, I may have been a bit harsh, normally I’m not. But yes, they are great at providing up to date news before most other sites, and so I get pretty irritated when people want to insult them for something so trivial.
I’ll get their games.

Which means the author is refering to Team ICO solely and not all Japanese development studios.
Not calling you out just educatin ya man , I had to read it carefully to to see this.

Krishen is very good with articles and mistakes happen to everyone. Personally im not excited about this game since i know nothing besides that its from team ICO. Regardless, its still good news since i know they make quality games but i still need info to make an opinion. Those fly cat videos dont do anything for me.

Then why don’t you do some research and figure it out. Play the other titles, read reviews, stop sitting on your ass complaining that we haven’t hand fed you 100% of the information on a game and take an active part in figuring something out. Obviously people are interested in it, because they know what to expect. If you don’t, then do something to figure it out.
