The PlayStation Store has been home to some great updates in the past few weeks including demos, videos and other content as well. Coinciding with the launch of the PSP-Go, this week the PlayStation Store was updated a day early to add a plethora of new content. Among the content were 2 outstanding demos including Need for Speed: Shift and Brutal Legend. It seems that this trend of great demos being added to the PlayStation Store will continue as a demo for the upcoming Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time has been officially announced.

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time is receiving not only 1, but 2 full demos later this month. According to a recent podcast with Insomniac, the game is set to feature a demo both for showing off the new and improved gameplay of Ratchet as well as the agile and tactical gameplay of Clank. These demos have been announced by the Games Community Manager over at Insomniac Games, James Stevenson, as having a release date prior to to the official release of the title.

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time is undoubtedly one of the hottest titles of the year, and is set to debut on October 27, 2009.

    Great news, but for me, unnecessary… this game is a must-buy anyway – no demo required!

  2. Good for me, as I’ve never played any of these games, and am always very skeptical of over hyped sequels.

    @BigWoop You shouldn’t br skeptikal in the R&C series. lol.

    “over hyped sequels”?

    Ok that one confuses me. These games have always been awesome if you like the genre.
    I really don’t see a lot of hype for this game….please point me to some “hype” links besides PS websites.

    As for over hyped sequels GTA, Fable 2, GoW2, most FF, and Halo 3 come to mind (and yes I did buy all those and finish them so my opinion isn’t just trolling….it’s hands on with this crap).

    sounds great, I’m not planning on buying this one, just renting, because I’ve always loved the R&C games but have never felt the need to play through them more than once. My only question is, why 2 demos?? Couldn’t they just make one with two different levels?? One showing off Ratchet and the other Clank?

    Totally a must-buy title for me, and I appreciate the ‘foreplay’ that a demo(s) brings.

    Sweet I love demos as I am such a Cheap mofo, lol.

    @Robotron

    If they put it in one demo, it’ll be too big. And it would be diffucult for them. So they just made two seperate demo. One showing Ratchet’s gameplay and the other one shows off Clank’s puzzle solving skills.

    l wonder why it has to take 2 demos?
