According to a tipster of TheSixthAxis, who, apparently found out this information from a friend who knows a friend who knows somebody who lives in Japan, has some exciting revelations of Gran Turismo 5 that have yet to be unveiled. If this information is actually true, Gran Turismo 5, which is scheduled for a March 2010 release, will easily become one of the biggest racing game ever conceived.
Developer Polyphony Digital has already confirmed that the game will feature 20 ‘World Circuits’, but, according to the tipster, the final game may hold over 110 track variants of the 20 circuits. Furthermore, Porsche, a long holdout of racing games in general, may make an appearance in the final game.
Speaking of cars, the final total may top the confirmed 950 already confirmed cars. Also, the number of cars that can be imported from Gran Turismo PSP may be limited to around 100.
Once again, we here at PlayStation LifeStyle are hesistant about posting news coming from an anonymous tipster who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows a Japanese resident, however, we felt we should at least share it with you. So what do you think about these very interesting tidbits of information? Post your thoughts and feelings in the comments section below.

i am sure the game will be bigger than we think in terms of cars and tracks when it finally releases.
OMG! I had no idea that the TopGear test track was appearing in the game. Where have i been? Thats an awesome awesome awesome addition to the game! They could even link it to the show and maybe Jezza, Jim n Dickie could make TV challenges for players to take part in or something? Or even upload their own times and ghost cars for others to have a go at beating.
Wouldn’t it be just amazing though if they put the Bugatti Veyron and the McLaren F1 in there too? Even if just to race around the TopGear track to see if its possible to beat the Stigs times. The possibilities are endless, specially seeing as Sony already have collaboration with the BBC already, with having the iPlayer on the (UK) XMB!
Something big this way comes methinks.

I read over the car listing on the internet and there are several variations of the McLaren F1 in GT5. I know that because the F1 is my favorite car of all time. lol
I know many don’t care, but I actually am excited for the inclusion of Porsche. I have always loved the design of those cars.
im sure it’ll be big they been working on this game for 5 years… wonder what the developing cost will be by the time they finish the game
@nuclearwarfare
You’ve just made me soil my pants in excitement! lol
I’m so excited about this.
Just an idea of the scope of how deep they’ve gone with the cars in this game: they’ve got a 1998 GMC Jimmy SUV as a playable car in this game. lol
I understand that its the bigger names that will pull people in (Lamborghini, Ferrari, ect.) but the fact that they would add every day cars in this game, like a GMC Jimmy, is what’s pulling me to this game. Not only do you have the dream machines, but cars that you can look out your window and see at any time.
God, I cant wait for this game.
nice shot, i like it!
Sincerly,
