Uncharted 2 Finds Drake’s Trophies
As gamers anticipating the release of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, some may be playing the first title in the series, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Beating the story again? Trying to get those last few trophies? On that note, trophies may actually help you in the long run with this latest news.
Just Push Start has kindly found something very interesting in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. As beta players know, a store for multiplayer is present, with the ability to buy skins, boosters, etc. However, there is also a single-player store, and while going through, there is an option to use Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune trophies.
What do you think the trophies will be used for? Easier purchases? Bonus Content? Post your thoughts on this below!

Yes! I got Platinum on Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.

If you have ANY Uncharted Drake’s Fortune save on your system, you will get $20,000 game dollars to buy upgrades in Uncharted 2.
If you have a save for a COMPLETED Uncharted game, you’ll get $80,000 to spend.

It doesn’t say if that’s for single or multi player, though. Could be either or both. Perhaps dollars from the save are for multi player, and anything from the trophies is for single-player?

Hope my Japanese saves and trophies are compatible with the PAL Uncharted 2.

@Paranoimia It’s better if the reward is “You could buy the Fortune Hunter’s Edition”. lol.
I’m not really into Limited Edition stuffs in games. But this game is really awesome. I really love the first one. And as far as I can see it. The second one is a couple times better.

If you have an Uncharted save, you get $20,000. If you BEAT the first Uncharted, you’ll get an extra $80,000; so you can potentially start off with $100,000.

I was so pissed when I first read this a week or so ago in PS magazine. Basically, a had long since deleted my save file for Drakes Fortune. I downloaded a save file and put it on my PS3 … hopefully it works. To bad it doesn’t just go by your trophy collection, that would have been easier and I wouldnt feel quite as much like a cheater … even though I legitimately beat the original about 6 times.

Having only recently played Uncharted, I didn’t quite complete the Crushing Level cos I got distracted with Batman Arkham Asylum – I got about 85% on Drakes Fortune I believe. Maybe I will sit and get that Platinum one day. I will start Among Thieves on Hard though if the same difficulty levels apply. Also playing through a single player mode 3 times gets a bit old.
This is an innovtive way of cashing in trophies and XP earned on previous games – If i complete Crushing on UC:DF in tandem with UC:AT can the Platinum value be added later??
