SolidCake_ – The battery situation will probably be identical to the iPod. Send it in, and get a new one back with a new battery. Or buy a battery kit off the internet and crack the thing open yourself. I just hope the initial Go doesn’t have a shotty battery like the original iPod did.

Does anyone know how long the battery life is on the Go?

to be fair, you can make any “if” or in “theory” you wish, but thats not here nor there… like trophies when i read that they opted out “due to piracy” it doesnt mean they wouldnt have opted out, maybe for the real reason it wouldnt be retroactive… Since they dont install anything, and unless you have a go or one of the few DL titles prior, they would lack trophies… though the ps3 isnt much better since SEVERAL titles lack trophies, the difference is… MGS 4 can add them whenever they want, same with DMC 4, or CoD 4. though every title isnt gonna get trophies, they can in theory always get them, unlike the psp where even if they implement this system, we wouldnt realistically see any titles with this for 5 or so months, maybe more… so I saw it as a easier move to blame pirates than moving this system, this is also assuming there isnt other things like… not enough power on all psp’s *like how the 1k cant use skype =P* I can get more into if’s… but i always saw devs as a cat/mouse game…

most of the original titles, were lack luster, or ports… same with a lot of other systems with limited/no piracy, so you can make a claim really on either end that is.

I feel like a broken record (I can’t count how many times I’ve said this) but if Sony made the dev kit affordable to EVERYONE then this crap wouldn’t even be an issue. ONLY pirates would be hacking at that point, because the rest of us could write homebrew to our heart’s content.

A dev kit that ran the compiler on the PS3 and linked the compiled code only to an attached PSP would be sublime; we could share all the source code we wanted to online, no tricks or viruses etc (it is source, after all). (Almost) Everyone is happy. If that were $100 I would buy it the second it hit the shelf.

Hacking has already affected anyone with a PSP because their is no trophy system, and if it was never hacked then their might have been a few more great games for it. Hackers won’t crack the PS3 simply because even developers bitch about how hard it is to program for it.

@shadowjin you forgot the Wii. Hacking the PSPGo doesn’t really both me, I dont care. All I care about are malicious hackers, copying retro games that under 5 bucks is whats going down in these cases. And Homebrew should become apps for sale through PSN for the PSPGo and Wii channels if you ask me. If they were smart they stop giving the shit way and make a small profit. Now the 360′s issue is on a bigger level. Sony’s worked up over crappy PSP titles while Microsoft supporting developers are getting robber of AAA titles. But who knows they might be getting a cut of those websites profit and are letting it ride. The developer should be doing the policing and track these fools down. Sony’s probably trying to crack down on it because they are already having problems get developers on board as is.
