Visceral Takes a Stab at Jack The Ripper
EA’s Visceral Games may have recently lost some of its key staff to Activision, but that hasn’t stopped them working on three different game projects – the God of War look-a-like Dante’s Inferno, the sequel to 2008′s glorious gorefest Dead Space, and an unknown game. Since their change of name, Visceral has been living up to their bloody namesake producing violent and gruesome games, now recent insider whispers and trademark filings provide strong evidence about what the next murderous game under production at the EA studio is.
Two sources close to EA told The LA Times that Visceral’s next game would be about Jack the Ripper, the infamous British serial killer from the 19th century. Additionally, Superannuation have uncovered two trademarks that add further credence to this rumor. However, with Dante’s Inferno scheduled to come out this February, and Dead Space 2 still in the pipeline, don’t expect Jack the Ripper to be released before late 2010 or 2011.

I’m really into Visceral, they seem to really know what they are doing. Dead Space was one of the best games to come out last year and Dante’s Inferno is looking great also. I’ll give a look at anything these guys are doing.

Oh yes. This just has “controversy” written all over it!
now THIS is an interesting idea. especially from people who created dead space, which is hands down the most gruesome and scary games I’ve ever played. heh, eat a Ho’s liver, gain experience! Its an idea that could be cool from either perspective,,, play as jack… or hunt down jack. hmmmm…. which way would be better? [I vote play as jack]
I’d say play as Jack too, but give him the ability to work for the other side too, sort of a double agent.
Like the real Jack the Ripper was able to.
