Uncharted 2 Beta Only a Fraction of the Full Relic
The Uncharted 2: Among Thieves open beta began last week, and already tens of thousands of people have participated in testing the game. The beta is most obviously lacking the single-player portion of the game, but many fans have wondered if the multi-player in the beta is the final product. Thankfully, Naughty Dog did clarify recently that the multiplayer beta doesn’t include everything that the full game will offer.
The Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer beta includes 4 maps, 7 game modes and several purchasable goods including skins and boosters. However, on top of everything included in the beta, the full game will also offer the following:
Three more maps The full set of Co-op objective levels Three more game modes – Turf War, King of the Hill and Co-op Survival More skins, boosters and taunts in the ingame Store
It’s safe to say that the full version of the game is going to include a unprecedented amount of quality content for players to get their hands on. Look out for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves next Tuesday, when it hits store shelves.

only three more maps? I mean, no doubt its still gonna be great and I really can’t complain, but honestly I hoped for more multiplayer maps than this. well…. I guess theres always DLC.
7 multiplayer maps might not be huge but thats still a good amount. Either way this game is a MUST own for and PS3 owner wether you are connected to the PSN or not.
BigWoopMagazine – I agree there could be more, but I’m sure they have add-on packs planned and they would be stupid to give us any more for free when they know that so many will be willing to pay for extra maps.
I have to admit I wasn’t absolutely blown away by the first game like so many people were. I think it probably had something to do with the fact that I heard so many good things about it by the time I actually played it (which was 2 years after its release because I wasn’t willing to pay full price for a year old game) that there was no way it could meet, let alone surpass, my expectations. This game however is a different story. I’ve heard all the hype but I’m still extremely excited to play the game. It’s also one of the rare times that I’m excited for the multiplayer aspect of the game. I usually couldn’t care less about multiplayer because I can’t stand most of the immature children that play online or the guys who do nothing in their lives but play online and therefore can kill me too easily. Can’t wait to put the disc in my PS3 and unleash my machines full potential.
I like all the maps so far so I am not getting bored with them. Can’t wait for this game gonna get that platinum crazy fast.

7 maps in this game is like ~12 maps in any other game though (for me at least), because I find something new on a map every time I play. There is always something new to climb. The verticality adds so much to this game.
I’m a SOCOM fan, believe me, 7 maps isn’t nearly enough to keep you happy for more than 6 months.

Ya I was expecting a few more maps for online but like woop said there is always DLC and the game is going to be great obviously. Those modes have me pretty interested though, king of the hill sounds fun and I wonder how they will handle coop survival. I just finished getting my plat in the first and woop gamefly buddy? That is how I played it and I was late to the whole ps3 party
Wait isn’t there already Co-Op Survival?
No it’s co-op gold rush , the objective in survival would be to stay alive without the whole treasure capturing part.
i never played the first 1… i know im deprived…whats the point in getting the 2nd :\
@SpeCtR you don’t need to play the first to understand and enjoy the 2nd. Although the first is still a great game.
3 more maps is not that bad. I mostly only play on dust in CS. lol.
I made it to the Uncharted 2 Muvico Event yesterday by Chicago and the Naughty Dog Representative stated that in the first week of the public demo being out, players played more than 22 YEARS of game time! I also got a free copy of Uncharted 2 a week early! My friend got even luckier by getting the Fortune Hunter Edition with the weird “goat sacrificing” knife. Funny thing is that he just kinda came along for the ride as he owns a Wii and not a PS3. lol
only 3 more maps? bummer
hopefully heyll have dlc maps in the future and more weapons

Hey i was also there, did you catch the old guy with the camera taking pics as people won stuff? I was also a winner of a copy of the game. I have been trying to find pictures from that event but i cant find it anywhere. Any ideas?
I hate livin where I do I could have easily one a Fortune hunter edition now if I want it I am at the mercy og a G$TV contest, oh and congrats on winning guys that is awesome.
