Atlus Looks Towards Next-Gen Development

When most people think of Atlus, they think of the great PS2 games that they have developed like Persona 3 and Devil Summoner 2. In fact a lot of people will argue that Persona 3 and Persona 4 were the best RPG’s of their respective years. While these games are great most fans of the series have been clamoring for a next gen Atlus developed game.

Well it looks like Atlus might be agreeing with this thought as their internal development studio is now looking for PS3 and 360 programmers. They are looking for people interested in game development and people who have worked on an RPG for the PS3 or 360.

So if you love game development and have worked on an RPG released for either the PS3 or 360, then give Atlus a call.

hopefully it will be exclusive, i think with the sale spike and Christmas being taken by the PS3 (hopefully) they will start looking at just the PS3 or at-least consider an exclusive.

This one should make you happy Cameron since its not from coming from Just software aka (Demons Soul designers) :) lol.

Yeah! It would make me happy too. About time Atlus. I can’t wait for an SMT game for my PS3. It’s better be exclusive. And I think it would.

  3. megs1120 Says:

    Yay, Atlus!

  4. KwietStorm Says:

Aw shucks, and I haven’t yet worked on a RPG this gen..

    @Shadow,

Trust me this news is all smiles for me. I am in love with Persona 3 and 4 as i think they are two of the best RPG’s of recent memory. Now all i need is a Suikoden 6 hint for PS3 and i am set.

Never played a Persona game before :(

  7. kirobz Says:

@Hater You’ve got to try it man! Although I liked the Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2.

I think me and Cameron is really happy with this.

I’l give ‘em a call alright, and tell ‘em “GROW UP N MAKE SOME PROPER GAMES!”

RPGs- i hate them, with a vengeance too! They are a sin against video games in my opinion. (And yes, like it or not, i AM entitled to my opinion whether or not countless millions of ppl love them or not!)

I am the absolute opposite of you, and I am going to be brutally honest in saying that I can’t even begin to respect you as a gamer. :/

The JRPG genre represents the intellect, art, and pushing forward of gaming.

Without games like Persona, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, etc., we find the end of gaming as an art form.

Without the JRPG genre, games quickly become toys, rather than artistic, ingenious experiences.

Now, please enjoy your Madden games.

    Thanks.

Still need to play the SMT games, especially because of all the praise i’ve heard about them.

Guess i’ll call atlus, lemme get my rolladex out now…
