The Last Remnant May Still be Found on PS3

When Last Remnant was first announced it was said to be an RPG for the PS3, 360 and PC.  While the 360 and PC versions of the game have released, there has been very little mention on the PS3 front.  There has been plenty of talk and rumor about the PS3 version being canned due to poor sales and mixed reception from the media and fans.

However if you head on over to the official Square-Enix website and search PS3 you are greeted by games such as Final Fantasy XIII, Nier RepliCant, Star Ocean and Last Remnant.  While this is not an official confirmation that the title is still in production for the PS3, it is still a good sign fthat maybe the Last Remnant will still find its way onto the PS3.  The game released for the 360 on March 24th, 2009 so with Microsoft having a timed-exclusive deal with Square Enix this could be the reason for the lack of news on the PS3 side.

Hopefully the game is still in production for the PS3 and that performance issues found on the 360 version will be fixed for PlayStation 3 owners.  Big thanks to TheHater for the tip and as always stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for all your PS3 news.

    S-E may yet redeem themselves.

Interesting that is the JP site. Which Japan has already got Star Ocean PS3, while the US had got none. If this would be the case, Japan might get it in a few months, and the US months/years later. I have held off getting SO4 just in case they announce the PS3 version, but it’s getting harder and harder to hold off.

Don’t really care anymore. Atlus has replaced S-E for me. Take my cash Atlus.

You seem to be mistaken, Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope International is being released in all regions (JP, NA and EU) for ps3 on Feb 4, 2010. As for The Last Remnant, it’s hard to believe that there are people out there who still want this buggy mess of a game.

if you take away the buggy stuff in the game, you will actually find a combat system that was fun and a bit different from the rest. The cast was also likeable and the story was pretty solid IMO.

Actually if the PS3 version can release and fix all those bugs, i will def. pick this title up.

I still have the trailer for this downloaded in my movie folder.
This is one of the few non-Squenix RPGs i have looked forward to.
