Theres only 1 kind of role play worth looking into, and it ends with bodily fluids being splashed everywhere. And tbh there is only 1 game from the 360 id love to see ported over and thats Dead Rising 1. I played it when i owned a 360 (shhhhh i was just trying it out, then threw it out) and i thought it was great. As long as u dont have to switch the console off in the middle of the game for the save to register id buy it in a heartbeat to play again. Nothing quite like piling into a mass of zombies with a great big fuck off lawn mower and watching the heads n limbs fly everywhere lol.

i live in australia and Game is HUGE!!!! it is one of the leading game selling businesses in Australia and is also undoubtably the quickest growing video game businesses in aus. they have been popping up everywhere and none of the other game companies have come close to matching it.. so it is in no means a SMALL SITE!

just because a previous version wasnt on the ps3 doesnt mean people wont buy it.. look at the metal gear solid series!!! originally a nintendo exclusive, moved to playstation but people still bought it in the masses, and now its going to be on xbox as well, but i guarantee it will sell a large amount of games to the xbots even though they have never actually had a metal gear solid. same goes for a lot of games, conkers bad fur day and banjo kazooie both left nintendo and went to xbox, yet those games still sold (even though they were lousy games!). i mean honestly if a new mario game (or some other massive nintendo game) went over to ps3 (HIGHLY DOUBTABLE) are you saying that you wouldnt buy it because you didnt know what happened on the first one.. just wikipedia it and tada you know what happened!

games changing consoles happens everywhere we look and just because the first one wasnt on a system, doesnt shoot down the fact that the subsequent games wont be!

Couple that with the fact that EA now owns Bioware, and EA is known for putting games on as many platforms as possible. And that BioWare’s Dragon Age is on both systems.

On this last one, I could be wrong…but I don’t think MS has claimed ME2 at any recent event…much like it doesn’t claim LP2, Dead Rising 2, Tekken 6, or most other multiplatform games (save MW2…it can’t afford for that game to not be associated more heavily towards the MS brand).

I don’t know about this site…but even before they showed this…I’ve been suspecting this game could find its way on the PS3. Whether or not part one makes it way or not, I think it’d see good sales…as long as it doesn’t come out much too late. ff it comes out next fall as opposed to the 360′s launch in Q1, fewer people will pick it up since they’ll be more focused on the newer games of the fall.

I think this situation is different than Left 4 Dead. Namely because Valve is lazy and won’t take the time to learn the ins and outs of the PS3′s architecture [even though ol' Gabe said they would after the lousy port of Orange Box]. The PS3 version of Left 4 Dead 2 was likely dropped because Valve didn’t feel like doing the port themselves and EA didn’t want another Orange Box/Bayonetta situation after trying to do the port themselves.

Bioware is a different story though. They’ve already been working on Dragon Age Origins on the PS3 and have commented on how they enjoyed learning the strengths of the hardware. Couple that with the fact that they’ve thus far refused to acknowledge Mass Effect 2 as a 360 exclusive says that a PS3 version is at the very least being considered. Then there was that Sega leak where Alpha Protocol was Compared to Mass Effect [had the Sony guy been hands on with a playable version of ME2?].

I think it’s entirely possible that it could happen. Some little hints could be chalked up to typos or coincidences; but everything together is starting to paint a picture that suggests it’s more likely to happen than not.

Ah my bad, I was talking with the idea of both games coming over and I do believe if they don’t want to bother porting the first one then they shouldn’t bother with bringing Mass Effect 2 over.

But knowing that each Mass Effect will play based off of the previous ones game progress I would assume if this were to be true that we’d without a doubt get Mass Effect 1 bundled with it.

What I mean is that if you started playing Mass Effect 2 or Dead Rising 2 without having played the first one, you’d be missing out, not that the port would be inferior. In the case of Mass Effect, it’d be odd for the PS3 to get two-thirds of a trilogy with a continuous story line. It’d be like if Lucasfilm came out with Star Wars HD DVD and Blu Ray sets but the Blu Ray set was missing A New Hope. It wouldn’t be a complete experience, and there wouldn’t be much of a point to it.

Don’t believe it then, i’m skeptical, but they’ve been bringing this up so much at random times over the last year to keep me intrigued.

Sony shook the gaming industry with their ps3 price drop and a big majority of game developers are doing what they can to get games over on the ps3 because as it looks for the foreseeable the ps3 is the way to go unless M$ can launch a reboot of the 360 with a better media format like Blu-ray they’re done and we’ll keep seeing a trend where game developers slowly start favoring the ps3.
