Bioware Comments on Mass Effect 2 for PS3
There has been much speculation lately about whether Mass Effect, the hugely-popular and critically acclaimed RPG, currently exclusive to the Xbox 360, will be making it to the PS3. A recent listing on GAME’s website further fueled the fire. Bioware, the guys behind Mass Effect, have been pretty quiet about this issue…until now.
When questioned by a forum member on their forums, a representative for the company, Patrick Weekes, did not deny the rumor; but at the same time, did not confirm it.

”
The mere fact that Weekes did not outright deny the claims is surprising. If Bioware really had no intention on bringing the award-winning series over to the PS3, they should have outright denied the claims; whether through an official statement or on their forums. They shouldn’t be letting the rumors grow, only to leave the fans disappointed.

This could be a good deal for Sony, but there’s not much room for the game on the 2010 PS3 line-up.
well, if you buy Dragon Age, apparently you unlock the red dragon armor in ME2, this seems to be the case for the ps3 version as well. I’d say thats kind of a confirmation that ME2 is coming to the ps3.

very interesting to tell you the truth. I think this all but confirmed its coming to the PS3. I guess I will not pick it up for the 360 after all.
So when is the next major announcement window for Sony Computer Entertainment that would be close to an official announcement. GDC ’10??? or what???

Gamers Day Conference, i’m not sure what month it is in only that it’s sometime in early 2010(maybe February)
I strongly believe Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 1 will make their way over, it’s not a matter of if, it’s just a matter of when.
I wouldn’t even be surprised if Bungie announced sony as the publisher of their new IP, Sony and the ps3 are so hot now and the thought of all the exclusives we’re getting in the future wouldn’t you as a game developer wanna jump onto the ps3?

Maybe it´s going to happen the same thing that happen last year with bioshock, the rumors where everywhere and finally we get an upgraded version.
Mass Effect 1 & 2 on 1 blu ray disc with all the dlc, bugs free and better graphics, but not until fall 2010.

RPG games are shit! The whole point of games consoles is to create REAL-TIME 3d environments for gamers to play in. Why do companies continuously spout this type of shit out? And why the fuck do ppl find them interesting to play?
Now u might say “but we like them and thats just ur opinion” to me, and ud be right! But that doesn’t mean that im not entitled to this opinion. My kind of games are fighting, driving, sports, fps and 3rd person shooting/fighting games- so please feel free to knock my taste if u like

seem like having a pb to post here … 5th tentative … here goes:
i raised this issue after E3 on some other sites, because i saw this on a french video games site i’m also a member.
they didn’t announce it on E3 & even on the site it was announced as a PS3 exclusive, i was flamed when i said i thought would be on PS3 too .. so now if it’s for real it will make me so happy for i still need to upgrade my PC to play this. (will definitely do so when Diablo III comes out, but when !!?)

You know, there is a difference between voicing an opinion and insulting someone else’s. I remember a time when nobody BUT nerds would even think of owning a computer or game console. And who do you think designs and writes this stuff? The captain of the high school football team and his airhead, ball-washer cheerleader girlfriend? Yeah, game studios are full of jocks and “cool” people who have never played D&D or WoW in their lives, I’m sure.
Plus it is incredibly difficult to respect a written opinion that is full of “u” and “ud”, although I’m sure you don’t care. I’ll just write you off as someone with either an age or an IQ that ends in “teen”. Maybe both.
ST-ANGER, was there really even a purpose to your post? RPGs are one of the biggest long-time genres in the industry. They were popular long before shooters. Not a word you said was on topic.
Mass Effect and Left4Dead are the only games I would like to see make it way over to PS3. Especially Mass Effect.
It’s bioware people. look at their history.
Anyways, it’s probably coming, or MS would never allow that shit if it were exclusive.
