Uncharted: Drakes Fortune To Unlock Uncharted 2 Bonuses
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is one of this year’s best reviewed games, gaining full marks from PSLS and topping sales charts even before its release in the US. Uncharted 2 is the sequel to Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, which, while critically acclaimed, didn’t receive the amount of hype and attention that the game deserved, however, approximately two and a half million people played the game. Recently rumours surfaced that those with savedata for the original game would gain bonuses in Uncharted 2.
Now, on a LiveChat on the PS blog, Neil Druckmann, Lead Game Designer at Naughty Dog, announced:
If you have a saved game of a completed playthrough of Uncharted 1 then you get $100,000 to spend in the store for Uncharted 2. We didn’t go with the platinum because we wanted to reward more players.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves released today in the US exclusively on PlayStation 3, and will release on the 14th in Mainland Europe and the 16th in the UK.

I’m going to collect my $100,000
bummer, I lost my game saves around a year ago when my first PS3 bricked, oh well.
awesome. if i remember correctly the gun upgrades were 25,000, 50,000 then 100,000 so this means you can get quite a lot though from the boosters and skins.
is this for the single player store or the mutiplayer store?
I am going to have to beat the first one again real quick. I lost all my game saves awhile back.
They should have used the platinum.
This is sweet. As soon as I got this game in the mail the first thing I did was jump in to the multiplayer.

The gamesave has to be a finished game of Uncharted, it can’t just be a plain gamesave. It has to know that you finished the original game. Also on the rewards screen I think you need to press square to get the reward (look in the bottom left corner for instructions).

yea weird thing I have a finish game on my HDD but I only got 20,000 for it. Anyone else have similar problem?
I didn’t get any reward. I have two 100% complete save file on my PS3.
I don’t think I have my saved game and I got the $100,000 bonus. I’ll check later…

i wonder if the save game had to be a saved game with trophies? it worked for me but i had all trophies.

well I have my saved completed game with my platinum trophy so there is no reason why I don’t get it

Does anyone having problems with Uncharted 2 freezing?
No freezing and my game save gave me my 100k as well. I think the people with the 20k are mistaken as I started with 20k right off giving me 120k now. Press that square button guys to get that reward.

Let it be noted there are two separate stores,,, one for single player and one for multiplayer… this bonus goes towards the single player store. Also, my game froze once around chapter 12, but I rebooted the system and it was fine, it even saved the checkpoint where it froze. I think its too bad they didnt give half the reward for a completion and half for the plat, but anything is better than nothing!

***NOTE***
This is a manual procedure. Go to treasures screen from main menu in U2 and you’ll see a line saying “press square to sync with Drakes Fortune” or something like that. I only beat it on hard, not crushing, and got the $100,000!

You can buy multiplayer upgrades with money.

That is awesome ! Except for the fact that the Idiots at Customer support think that deleting all you r game data will fix a faulty bluray laser. So this actually sucks and thanks alot stupid customer service.
DAMNIT! I rented the first Uncharted and deleted the game save as soon as I returned it. It would be better if the game recognized the trophy from the first game that you get for completing it.
