Calling All Cars came out way back in May of 2007, when the PSN was still young. It was mostly well-received, and has a metacritic score of 77. Apparently, it isn’t being played enough to warrant that its multiplayer servers stay online.

It's Been Nice Knowing Yar!
If you log into the game’s online component, you are greeted to this message by The Dispatcher. On January 14th, 2010, Calling All Cars’ servers will be shut off forever. So if you feel like playing this title online, you better get that out of your system within the next couple of months. There is always splitscreen multiplayer, however, which is definitely a nice feature to have in this party game.

I have this game and never play it.
@Thehater
yeah i almost bought it thinking what the hell… its cheap.. glad i didnt. unless its full retail game im less likly to buy a PSN game.
Yeah, I always thought this game looked kinda lousy so I won’t miss it when it’s gone.
fun online, but noisy… way too noisy… to the point of giving you a headache noisy.
Shame. I never got a chance to play this game.
@shadownjin
I got it for free from Qore, so not complains here. This game sucks by the way.
That’s my birthday! I’ll be 21 and in Vegas when this happens lol.
I dont have this. so, no worries for me.
The game most certainly does not suck. OMG you kids are so shallow, Jesus! You don’t even KNOW how bad off you are and it’s SAD!
This game is great.
@Odium_Generis
OK grandpa, go back to playing atari and leave this generation of consoles to those of us that can hear without electronic assistance. You know what i’m doing right know? Yeah that’s right, i’m typing without arthritis acting up, eat it. Oh I guess you won’t be able to read this since it’s 1:00 and must be your dinner time. Gotta love that earlybird special eh old timer?
This game is a great laff with a few mates online! When i first bought it i shared it with a few friends and we had loads of fun on it. Was a really gd laff what with the generic irish copper voice shouting things like “geddim in the paddywagon!” when u grabbed a crim n stuff lol. Stereotypical to say the least, but perfect for the comic nature of the game. The controls are nice n tight also, but i have to admit tho, it was a very short lived experience, but 1 i wouldnt change for anything! It just showed that u dont need a multi-million pound developed game to have genuine fun online. And seeing as it was only cheap, i think it was worth the enjoyment.
@JohnnyTruant5
Yh it was 1pm in the US when u wrote that last comment, shouldnt u have been in school learning to tie ur shoe laces? Have some respect for the older gamer plz (im 31, played games since the sinclair spectrum 48k). We can appreciate games so much better than u whipper-snappers, cos we played shit for years whereas u nappy wearers have had 3d gaming from the start most likely. I think u need to be knocked down a notch or 2- or knocked the fuck out!
Ur comment is not only very immature, but also disrespectful. Take some advice and GROW THE FUCK UP!
Grow up? If growing up means I throw my sense of humour out the window and start thinking i’m better than everyone else, and listening to shitty metallica, I’m out.
And on that note, I’ll have respect for whoever I want thank you, I don’t care if he’s older than me when he acts like a dick and thinks he’s better than everyone.
Thing is Johnny is your not funny , you’re just a dick with a huge inferiority complex.
I didn’t really care for this game personally but to those who did I am sure they will mis sthe online portion.
I was thinking about getting it, but I don’t really like getting PSN games unless I know they will be fun, (Shatter, Fat Princess, Championship Sprint, Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection)
free from core, barely even play. fun when drunk!
I don’t care if you think I’m funny R2D2, I’m not doing anything to please you.
