3D-Dot-Game-Heroes_2009_09-18-09_06.jpg_6103D Dot Game Heroes, a PS3 exclusive title by developer From Software is soon to hit Japanese store shelves and has not been announced for a western release until today!

For those who don’t know yet, 3D Dot Game Heroes has a very unique and distinct art style that mimics 2D pixel art but in full 3D. The game pays homage to classic RPG’s such as Zelda in terms of gameplay and style. Just like the uniqueness of the game, so was the way it was announced. Earlier today this is what was tweeted on the Offical PlayStation twitter account.

“No need to import – 3D Dot Game Heroes for PS3 is DEFINITELY coming to NA! Spread the word, more to come.”

No word yet on who the publisher might be, though I would bet it might be Atlus, who brought over another From Software game, Demon’s Souls. We will keep everyone up to date as more information release, but as always stay connected to PlayStation LifeStyle for all your PS3 news.

This looks like it will be pretty cool. I saw a video of it replicating the original Zelda, and thought there’s no way that would ever be real on a Sony console. I’m glad I was wrong.
