Earlier today, SCEA announced the God of War III Ultimate Edition which will be available at the game’s launch in March 2010, and will retail at $99.99. Already, the God of War III Ultimate Edition, which comes with a plethora of exclusive content stuffed into a replica Pandora’s Box, has become available for pre-order.
Amazon.com has now started accepting pre-orders for the God of War III Ultimate Edition. Aside from getting the game shipped to your door on day one, Amazon is also offering a free Apollo DLC skin, and a voucher for the E3 2009 God of War III Demo.
No word, on exactly how limited this God of War III Ultimate Edition is going to be, so it’s best to get your pre-order in now to ensure you get the entire God of War experience the day God of War III launches this March.
You can also pre-order at your local GameStop, or GameCrazy each of which have their own exclusive DLC skin and include the pre-order voucher to download the E3 2009 God of War III demo.
Will you be buying the Ultimate Edition of God of War III?

Damn, 100 smackers! I miss the good old days when a LE was only 10 20 dollars more.

$100 seems too high even for the biggest fan of God of War.

Agreed. An extra $40 for the box, artbook, some exclusive DLC, and DLC soundtracks. I was going to get this when it was announced, but now i’m not that excited for it. The box art is junk.

Smokey…. the boxart matters that much to you?
Personally I think they should have just added 20 dollars and bundled God of War Collection with it. I’d have bought it then.

the box is pretty cool looking to me. Don’t think i would spend that much though. unless I have the cash and I am Drunk shoppping at Best Buy. lol

@MakaiOokami
I didn’t think my comment made it sound like it made or broke the deal for me lol. I was more refering to only getting “the box, artbook, some exclusive DLC, and DLC soundtracks” for $40 extra. I was just stating what I thought of the boxart also.
P.S. – For anyone wondering, that isn’t the final boxart (thank goodness). In on of the replies it is mentioned on the Blog.

@PSmgamer
By no means is it too much for the biggest God of War fan. When compared to the other CEs of other games this is relatively much more worth it. Others would be about $20-$30 more.
@ Smokey_vols
Ok good. I was beginning to think that Sony was abandoning the entire theme they had established over the 3 games.
Finally got my pre-order in on this. This is going to be amazing! Cannot wait to get my demo code as well. God of War 3 FTW!!!
