Amazon Dropping Prices on Major Titles Even Before Holiday Rush

Black Friday has yet to come and it looks like Amazon might be getting a little ahead of themselves as they have dropped the prices to some major titles.
Game of the Year nominee Uncharted 2: Among Thieves sees its price drop to $49.99 alongside other great games such as Borderlands, Demon’s Souls and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Also when buying Ratchet & Clank if you use the promotion code ratchet3 you can get an extra $5 off, making the total $44.99. Not sure how long this sale will last so if you have been wanting to pick up any of these games now might be a great time.

Why do some games, like inFamous come out and sell for $69.99, yet U2:AT starts off at a retail of $59.99? What is the determining factor for the $10 difference. In my opinion, U2:AT should have been the one selling for $69.99, and inFamous should have been $59.99.

Where was inFamous selling for $69.99???? I only ever saw it for $59.99. I picked it up on release day for $54.99 at Walmart.

Yeah man, i never saw inFamous over priced like that. Same price here in the UK.
Otherwise, again i wish that amazon would bring these sorta deals over. It takes forever for games to drop a tenner which at 30 quid is perfect for most games for me.

sorry FiftyQuid, but if you paid $70 for inFamous then you got screwed because I’m sure everyone else found it somewhere for $60. Unless maybe you live in the UK, Europe, etc.??? Then I don’t know anything about their pricing strategies…with a name like FiftyQuid I have a feeling you might not be American…
anyway, this is just one more reason why I LOVE AMAZON! Since I just capitalized on their “Buy 2 get $40″ deal I might use the $40 to get a game for $10!!

I’m holding out for Black Friday. So far Sears will have Dragon Age and Brutal Legend for PS3 for $39.99

I never pre-order anymore, and usually wait 2 weeks or so till Amazon drops at least $10.00
off. And free shipping beats paying local sales tax every time.

I got uncharted 2 for 52.99 and I have a 5 dollar credit off my next purchase so… I really couldn’t care less about the sale.
