Gran Turismo 5 has been pushed back a few times but that does not mean that developers Polyphony Digital are resting on their laurels as they have added yet another piece to the puzzle.
There have been plenty of rumors going around about GT5 having a track editor and when Everything 4 Gamers sent Polyphony Digital an email to confirm or deny the rumor, they received the following response.
“Yes it will have a track editor. You will be able to rebuild a track from scratch or edit the tracks that are already put in Gran Turismo 5.”
So there you have it, Gran Turismo 5 will have the ability to edit and rebuild your own tracks. Though Polyphony Digital still played it coy whenever asked about a release date, simply stating they could not give out that information right now.

OMG that is so awesome. I know I am gonna have fun with this. Nothing like a real driving experience with the ability to drive wherever you want with just a simply new building of a track. Can’t wait for this game

Good news, I like track editing.
Slightly off topic though, why does PSLS always sign off these articles with things like “as always stay connected”? Either we will or we won’t, that sign-off phrase will do nothing to inspire it. End articles with the last bit of pertinent information you wish to share, it is natural to do that.

Polyphony said they wanted to go the x-tra mile before releasing the game,
I’d say this qualifies as doing just that.
