Valkyria Chronicles is one of the most well-received PlayStation 3 exclusives that also has the unfortunate distinction of not faring as well at retail. The latest price drop courtesy of GameStop may help to change that.
For a mere $20 you can now snag a new copy of this excellent game. If that is still too much for you, used copies go for slightly less, $17.99. Though online ordering is currently in the “Backordered” availablility status, the price is the same should you happen upon a copy at your local retail location. What are you waiting for, Christmas? Go out and buy this fine piece of digital art!

Trophies be damned I really enjoyed the anime so I will probably get the game.

Wow it is sad when people won’t fork over 20 bucks for one of the greatest games to grace the PS3 simply because it lacks trophies..

it’s pretty sad when people to refuse to play a game because it doesn’t have trophies…makes you wish they were never created

They may not be old enough to remember 8bit gaming on an Atari 2600. The trophy was just getting to the end of the game.

Sneeches is a 28-29 year old Canadian.. hes frar from a being a kid.
Trophies dont mean anything besides showing others you do play games. while its a good way to judge the casuals and the hardcore its also a double bladed sword. Since any person can go to blockbuster video or gamefly and rent them. I have a few people from the UK boasting they have 3 platinum but there from generic easy trophy like Terminator Salvation, Harry Potter and some other garbage. lol. (basic pass the stage, beat game, get a platinum)
I agree with Cameron its rather silly to not buy it, since theres always a chance of VC getting patched and it is a great game. And Paul, lol keep up the photoshop work, it always catches me by surprise.

Silly nerds and their trophies. Go play a great game.

real gamers play games because they’re fun. go play this game. its fun!

IF YOU BUY IT NEW THERE’S A CHANCE THAT THE PROFITABILITY GOES UP AND TROPHIES BECOME MORE LIKELY. SAME IF YOU BUY DLC.
IF YOU BUY IT USED YOU SAVE 2 DOLLARS BUT AT WHAT COST!
I love this game, and EVERYONE owes it to themselves to buy this game and possibly the DLC if you want a chance to get trophies. If they don’t get enough support we won’t see trophies because it DOES take money and time to implement such a feature.

@Makai
Agreed bro, spend the 2 or 3 bucks extra and buy it new. I have never understood people who buy a game used for 5 bucks cheaper.. WOW

I highly doubt they’ll patch it for trophies when Valkyria Chronicles 2 is due out June 2010.
November 8th, 2009 at 5:26 PM
Sneeches, that would be an exact reason for them TO patch it.
