While Sony has picked up the advertising on exclusive games, they have not really done much in the way of exclusive ads for multiplatform games. However with all the change going on at Sony, this too might be changing.
In a recent financial call to investors, Ubisoft revealed that they have signed a deal with Sony for an exclusive advertising campaign for the upcoming multiplatform title Assassin’s Creed 2. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guilemot claims that with this deal the advertising campaign would have seen a lot less activity then it will now. This is a huge step for Sony as Microsoft has always seemed to gain more of these deals on multiplatform games and might signal a change in philosophy over at Sony headquarters.
Assassin’s Creed 2 is set for release on November 17th, until then stay connected to PlayStation LifeStyle for all your PS3 news.

If pirates keep up their usual job of making Pirated DVD games, it could sell more on the 360… that is if pirated games are counted to the overall sales……Here in the philippines pirated 360 games sells like 5 dollars only…..

Well… I’m pretty sure they wont be counting pirated copies. The fact that pirating is so bad on the 360 these days should actually be really good for PS3 sales comparatively and the PS3 in general. That might even be a big reason for multiplatform companies to want to advertise with Sony instead.
Would have been nice to have Modern Warfare 2 with an exclusive ad campaign, but AC2 is the next best thing.
i wonder why they choose AC2 out of all the multiplayer games out?
probably because it’s the tamest.
