The first round of Greatest Hits titles for the PS3 came out and were not really what people were expecting, mostly because of how ugly they were, and for perfectionists, how ugly they made their collections.

With the recent amount of redesigning that Sony has done with the PlayStation brand, it seems the Greatest Hits is also in for a face lift. While it is a very subtle change, it should be a good one, as long as the games do not come in Red jewel cases like the one pictured below.

Wow, it looks great.
I did not mind the red jewel cases.
The European platinum editions are even uglier, please let them be revamped
I think the red jewel cases would have looked much better if they would have used transparent red plastic instead of solid red…you know like the blue blu-ray cases only in a deep red color. That would look awesome.
@giese That’s exactly the way I want it….If they would do that,, It would look better on my PS3 games collection and Blu-Ray…I just can’t understand why they just won’t do it…
@ giese095
You mean like HD-DVD cases?
lol people are just too much into looks
I think a reason behind people not liking the red or any greatest hits cases in their collection is because it tends to yell out “cheapskate.” just my theory.
I don’t care what the case looks like at all. The only physical property of a game that matters is the disc is in good enough condition to play work. The gameplay is what really matters.
It’s Blu-ray. Why did they even think of going the red case route?
it would be best if they used the original case but just had platinum or greatest hits along the top of the cover.
The platinums are awful over here with the silver case and all the yellow logos over the front it ruins the look of the case, where as something subtle along the top would be a lot better
the only time i care about greatest hits is with my PS1 collection. never gave a shit about my PS2s
