When people think about RPG’s they usually think about the great story lines, the unique characters or the fun combat and exploration. But another thing that most RPG’s have in common is a great introduction. A good introduction to a game is very important as it gives you a great intro into the environments, characters and if the song fits, can get a person pretty psyched to play a game, if they aren’t already. Listed below, and in no particular order are the 10 RPG Intro’s for the PlayStation 2.

All the Final Fantasy games have fantastic openings and while FFX is my favourite FF game of all time i think FF X – 2 had the best intro of all time.
The song “Real Emotion” coupled with the simplistic movie introducing the game’s main protagonists really grabbed my attention and got me fired up more than any other game intro i’ve seen.

I agreed with David. Although FF X-2 was just too feminine for me to finish (I made it 4 hours), the opening scene was grand, fun, and impressive. It should be on this list no matter what anyone thought about the rest of the game.

Dark Cloud 2 was pretty sweet- DC was one of my favorite ps2 games of all time. I maxed out my clock, i have no idea how many real hours i’ve logged. I just thought the weapon system was genius, and the way swords would evolve was something i really got attached to.
