Call of Duty on PSN a Classic Mistake
Only days ago it was announced that Call of Duty: Classic was hitting the PlayStation Store this week. Call of Duty: Classic was originally an exclusive to those who purchased either the Prestige or Hardened Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. However, according to a recent post on the PlayStation Forums, the release might have been a mistake afterall.
The PlayStation Store release of Call of Duty: Classic has apparently been a mistake. MusterBuster, a Community Team Leader on the EU PlayStation Forum, stated the following:
COD Classic has been removed as it was never supposed to be available for purchase. There is currently a promotion running for purchasers of the MW2 hardened/prestige pack which gives users a voucher code to claim COD Classic.
I’m trying to find out if it will be available for you to purchase soon, leave it with me.
It looks like Call of Duty: Classic will remain an exclusive for Prestige and Hardened Edition owners. However, there is a small chance that Infinity Ward will make the game available to everyone in the future.

I personally guarantee that Call of Duty Classic will be available for everyone some time in the future!…I should mention though that my personal guarantee means nothing to Infinity Ward! But I don’t see why it wouldn’t be made available as soon as the promotion for those who waste money on special editions is over

I kinda thought it was from CoD2 as well, I believe the guy on the left points out planes flying overhead.

That’s crazy. I’ve even seen advertisements for it being on the psn. If they have taken it off and don’t re-release it soon they will be shooting themselves in the foot.

The photo is kind of misleading. You have me here thinking Infinity didn’t code the game good for the PS3 gpu and they had some crazy ass colours going on.

They probably don’t want it competing with their own sales of MW2
stockholders might get a little pissy if the old stuff sells really well.

What, Really? i highly doubt it would come close to interfering. I think, more likely, it’s because they’re making it a make shift “timed exclusive” for the people that dropped 100+ on their game.
PS, any word on if the NVG were decent?
