Modern Warfare 2 Ready for Redeployment

Modern Warfare 2 Crashes 2

Modern Warfare 2 so far has had a rocky start all around in terms of multiplayer. It seems all platforms had some problems and the number of people trying to access servers certainly didn’t help. Good news for PC and PlayStation 3 players as it seems the end to the issues is in sight.

It appears Infinity Ward has been making some progress on the issues surrounding multiplayer. PlayStation invites should work fine now.

Some late night #MW2 tweaks just went into affect. IWNet matchmaking on PC just got improvements & invites on PSN are good to go now. Gnight

Infinity Ward really dropped the ball this week.

Has anyone noticed that it’s like this every year with COD? They refuse to be overprepared because they (understandably) never know just how many people will get the game. So they just add servers as they go. They did it with MW1 and WAW. Only this time it was faster. MW1 was messed up for 2 weeks. Now here’s the kicker, when Christmas comes, it will happen all over again for the exact same reason…just like the other two.

Party invites weren’t working last night when I signed off at about 1am. This is really disappointing.

Why does this game and Uncharted use the external messaging and friends list to party-up? This is cumbersome and slow. An integrated menu just like World at War or Modern Warfare is quicker. The only advantage is that the invite flashes on the screeen, and you don’t stumble across an expired invite 5 minutes too late.

I would also like to see coloured radar arrows like you get on World at War, so you can identify your friends in a game. Infinity Ward please patch this in – especially with these new maps cos I don’t know my way around.

There was a workaround for the invites not working but this is also awesome. I cant wait to get home and get back to capping suckas

see? you don’t see 30+ comments on this post. Why? everyone’s meltdown and “BAN” and boycott mentality sure seem to be quelled as soon as some online functions pop back up….

Activision irritates me as much as the next guy, but you gottta give em credit for fixing their shit, and fixing it fast. You can call it unacceptable all you want, but 3 days mess up is nothing compared to the next 2 or 3 years of online time this game is going to get.

really annoying this is, ive only got a 1GB monthly download usage .
MW2 is going back to the stores tomorrow, thank god i can get a refund otherwise IW and moneyvision would be receiving a very unpleasant phone call.
im really starting to get sick of this, before you can play the game you payed for you first have to download 10 patches, and another 10 patches to fix those 10 patches.
what about the people who dont have internet access?
    screw them ay moneyvision?
as long as you got their money for it thats all that matters.
