PS3 Firmware 3.10 Full Change List & Direct Download Link

PS3 firmware 3.10 has just been released and along with it comes plenty of new exciting feature to the PlayStation 3. We’ve got the rundown of all the new features available in the latest firmware update.
Here is the full change list, please let us know if we’ve missed anything and we will update as necessary:
- Added the ability to access some Facebook features from the XMB.
- Added the option to automatically send updates to the user’s Facebook profile when Trophies are unlocked.
- Added the option to automatically send updates to the user’s Facebook profile when items are downloaded from the PlayStation Store.
- Added the option to automatically send updates to the user’s Facebook profile for in-game events (in compatible games)
- The [Friends] list has been redesigned.
- The user is now able to change the color of their [Profile].
- Expanded [Photo] folders and playlists are now displayed in a grid, rather than a list.
- Added RTVE, Antena 3 and LaSexta catch-up TV website shortcuts for users in Spain under [TV].
- Added NOS catch-up TV website shortcut for users in the Netherlands under [TV].
- Added AXN and Animax catch-up TV website shortcuts for users in Czech, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia under [TV].
- Added TVNZ catch-up TV website shortcut for users in New Zealand under [TV].
- Added [Facebook] menu item under [Account Management] allowing the user to change Facebook sharing and account settings.
- Improved the performance of the Internet Browser
We’ll update as additional features are revealed.

I don’t know about anyone else, but for free updates, we get some nice features and functions added to the PS3. Every new update is a plus in my book. You won’t find me crying about wanting to playing music in all games or cross game chat.
Sure, those features would be nice, but I don’t fret on it.

In my book, any update that adds more to what we already have is a good update, even if it’s sometimes minor.

damn I’m being promoted to update. I really wish this was optional. I really don’t want or care enough for these features to put my machine in danger of bricking on me.

you know what else this update should have included…the ability to perform firmware updates in the background, especially when they don’t really add to game functionality

hay guys, this download is corrupted. I download it from PSLS and my PS3 is telling me it is corrupted. I downloaded it twice.

I have this error 8002A227 too…so i cant sync my trophies or even look at my list of them or compare…or even change the color on my profile cause it has to sync for me to edit stuff on my profile…lame

From what I can see Canada got all features except the facebook apps.

mine works.. try shutting the system off or sync the trophies in your trophy section than try changing it from your profile in your friends list

the browser is now insanely fast(er)! I usually turn off javascript for fastness, now i can leave it on. Also, on ur message list, if u press triangle, there’s an option for Add A Friend.. (doesn’t matter if theyre ur friend or not) I THINK that wasn’t there before

I absolutely love my friends list now. I love this firmware. The only problem is… they need to announce something with Cross game voice chat. They need to communicate better to their fans/customers

I used to get a blank grey screen for a fraction of a second when exiting from certain aps such as the playstation store back to the XMB. Now I still get the grey screen but the ribbon and sparkles along with greyed-out XMB text show in the background during that moment. Just a little nicer aesthetics.

Still no fix for the trophy sync problem either.
Damn Sony I bought a new PS3 slim and created a new account and there is still sync problems.
Fix it already.

im sure error 8002A227 is when uv changed yr date or time to win a trophy!? if u have a trophy tht was won in (the future) it will cause yr trophys not 2 sync!?!

jesus christ, just to play games on my ps3 you need a 50GB+ download limit.
what the bloody hell is going on?
this is getting really old, every single time i turn on my ps3 theres something i need to download before i can do what i turned it on to do.
enough is enough for christs sake release 1 update a month not one every 2 bloody weeks or so.

Sony is aware of the issue and is currently working on it. A user named “gingellc” on the European blog asked about it.
“What about adding a patch to sort out error 80022A07? Many people have been unable to sync their trophies or compare with friends for quite a while now. Any news on a fix for this?”
and James Thorpe responded…
“The tech’s are aware of this issue at very high usage times and are working hard to fix this”

@name Why even attempt to troll a Playstation news outlet? ANd if you got your PS3 two weeks ago and you had to update to 3.01 that’s why you are having to update what seems like every couple of weeks, otherwise the last FW update was over a month ago. FW 3.01 wasn’t even mandatory until I got Ratchet and Clank Future 2 so really no big deal. It’s people like you that give gaming a bad rap, always complaints, never happy.

I hate when the Firmware update comes late Wednesday or early Thursday. I need to update to look for stuff is in the PSN Store, but it would be nice to let the Firmware sit there for a few daysw to see if people have any problems with it before I install it.

@giese095 – I am sure many updates have some sort of gaming functionality. There are things the devs get in their updates you can’t have unless you update.

Hi, i have done my update earlier today, but i dont seem to have the Facebook application added, was it not supposed to? and now my BBC Iplayer has disappeared lool. Any ideas if possible is appreciated.

I agree with all the positive feedback. Seems to me that Sony is doing a great job in building the XMB. I only wish there were more avatars or even personalized avatars. But I am sure that is on their todo list… so I am happy with their efforts.

For the people above talking about error code 8002A227: that stands for your console being banned from PSN due to “dirty” stuff the user logged on that machine may have done. Call your national PSN representatives and tell them about the ban.

I just found a new feature. So, when you click on your name in the [Friends] category, you can press the D-pad to the right, and you will be able to change your comment from there.

For Canada, all Facebook access starts as being turned off. This way privacy laws can remain non-violated. Which brings me to ask. Who has a privacy law fetish and would be willing to admit it?

you are wrong and I am not fond of people spreading misinformation. First off… if that were the case every site like the one we are on now would be talking about it, Second, this is not a couple people here and there, this is across the board nearly everyone has been having troubles syncing their trophies. and lastly, I do NOT use home or play many games online (if any at all) so explain how I could do something naughty to offend Sony or its users when I have zero interactions with strangers?
The fact of the matter is, there are network issues that Sony will resolve as soon as they are able. Most of us figured out that if you take out the disk and try a few times the network will eventually catch and sync up your trophies.
