Five long years ago, way before the great site you see before you was even a thought in Anthony Severino’s head, the original Killzone was unleashed upon the masses. It was very hyped up, dubbed a “Halo-killer.” Guerrilla Games is celebrating this anniversary with a few special gestures.
First, the weekend of November 27-30 will be double XP! During that same timeframe Guerrilla is also going to host a “retro tournament,” which will consist of a map rotation of only the Beach Head and Southern Hills maps from the second DLC pack. Don’t forget that the map packs for Killzone 2 are on sale for a reduced price in the PlayStation Store. Tuning into killzone.com later this week will see a complete playthrough of the entire game by Producer Sebastian Downie and Lead Online Game Designer Eric Boltjes along with commentary. Killzone.com editor Victor Zuylen will also be commentating a video comparing and contrasting the original Killzone to its sequel sometime next week.
So as you can see it is going to be a week-long celebration both on killzone.com and in-game. See you online!

Damn I should have waited on buying the DLC lol. I paid 12 dollars for it and haven’t been able to find any games with the DLC so… now that it’s a reduced price and I haven’t used it yet… I wasted that money T_T
Of course I bought it months ago I’m sad to say. But every time I turn it on we can’t find a game and no one is playing it. The games we do find are lack luster. Mostly Europeans and bad ping times.
