The hotly anticipated Digital Comics Reader is set to bring comic based goodness to the PSP this December, marking the first time such a service comes to a gaming device. Since its announcement gamers have been enquiring whether the reader will come to the PS3, as it would be a perfect fit for the multimedia hub. In a recent interview with Pete Stott, the designer of the service, PlayStation LifeStyle asked if the reader will come to the PlayStation 3.
Stott teased:
“I hope so, we are looking into it, we’ve obviously seen that a lot of people in the community ask for it, so, yeah I can’t confirm or deny”
Would you want the Reader on your PS3? Tell us in the comments below.
Fuck comics, where is my Mangas?
It would depend on the Digital Content that would be available to the application. I think that there is a demand but will it last? There is not the same exhilaration as having hardcopy comic to collect and then keep for ages to watch its value increase.
But if there is coexistence between the two mediums then I think that it could have potential…
The more applications available the better, so bring it on.
Fuck Mangas; where are my comics?
fuck,bring comics and mangas !
Hear hear!
I thought I read there will be plenty of Mangas when it’s released.
Yeah, there will be both mangas and comics
l want some spider-man comics nao
I like anime, but I definitely prefer Western comics over manga. I hope Image gets more involved with this; doubt they’d ever put spawn up though. DDP and Top Cow would be good too.
One more thing my PS3 does?
…. @ manga v comic gripes
This would be great, especially if we got some extra features- I don’t know about you guys, but I’m seriously hoping for some digital comics released that resemble Ashley Wood’s MGS comic reader, not necessarily his art style, but the movements, the sound effects, and interactivity it brought. There’s a lot of potential, and i hope it evolves from just a “Kindle” on your psp.
