As a developer he has the right to express his opinion. Heck as individuals we all have that right. I’m with him. The only contention I have is over the life of the PS3, I’m putting big odds on me owning more then 5 due to YLOD, DRE, and other failures.

And Robotron, when you game is on torrent sites within minutes of release and the download counter goes up rather high and sales go rather low. Piracy does impact you. There games are extremely affordable and I believe made for gamers who like high quality games with long play times for discount prices.

I only worry about this if a system bricks and you’re unfortunate- I might be on my second name, since my first ps3 was replaced by sony after it just would not turn on one day…..

Until you get the ability to login more than one account at a time on the PS3 with splitscreen online gameplay what Sony decides 3 or 5 should do for the average family. But then you have those families that have more than 5 children, so those are the exceptions, not the rule.

So for my statistical polling from the coments here is 3 is ok for most since most do not share games with others, with 5 going to those that constantly like to break the rules and getting caught and needing more accounts to avoid the consequences of game sharing.

So unless your game sharing 3 is ok and 5 to many.

Sony put the ability to game share in the hands of the users. If it was REALLY a problem they would have blocked it from the start. I dont see a reason why you would even need your account on more than 1 PS3 less you intended to game share. 3 IS more than enough, hell I would argue that 2 is generous.

I’m tired of these people at Q-Games. Besides blaming poor sales on piracy everything I hear from them is about screwing the gamer and putting all control in the hands of the corporation (y’know the MS attitude we all love to hate).
Were these guys ever gamers? Seems like all they want to do is cry about cash. Look guys if there’s not enough cash for you find another job.

They are being extremely generious with 3, should be one for the account that purchased it with unlimited redownloads. You paid for one title not 3 anybody that speaks otherwise is game sharing in any respect. Game share if you want but you’ll just get your account banned and you’ll have to pay for those games you shared to be able to even sign back into your account. I’ve already had 2 friends that have been banned and one has to pay around 200 and the other 150. I won’t be seeing the for a while probably not ever again. I undersand sharing with family members to a degree, but strangers is another story. I’ve never seen you face to face but you want my PSN password? They even have youtube videos of people warning about gettin hijacked for their passwords. You have to be slow to game share, especially if you have a credit card attacted to your account.

I prefer the five… I have siblings, and I play their consoles at their house when I am there.
So until you can sign into your account without having to tie it to a PS3, five is good.
Cause it’s like this
I have a PSP
A PS3, and my siblings PS3
making 4 accounts in use, when I get out and move out I will have my own PS3
So the 5 totally works for me, if it was ever reduced that’d suck horribly.

Yeah, 3 is plenty. I am already using 2 of that 3 on my PS3 and my PSP. The only way I’d see people furious is if they game share.

I just wish people used those 5 accounts thing properly. 3 should indeed be plenty for most of us. Not many people have more than 3 PS3s. Those having more most likely can afford to buy a game twice.
