NIS, or Nippon Ichi Software as its Japanese name translates to, is perhaps best well-known for the Disgaea series on the PlayStation Portable. A new website has cropped up for a new retro-looking game simply titled “Classic Dungeon.”

A quick glance at the website reveals a simple layout with a flash “movie” that plays a retro beat and shows the above image.  The game is for now a complete mystery – no actual gameplay elements have been revealed, but rest assured as soon as anything more develops you can read about it on PlayStation LifeStyle. A date of 2009/12/3 is also onscreen, so perhaps more details will be revealed then.

What would be sweet is if the PSP got a huge librairy of Sega and Turbo Grafix 16 games for download in the store. Nintendo would be nice too, but why would the comp let Sony get a new saling point that is fueled by their own games.
