Spidey Coming to PlayStation Home

12/01/2009 Written by Sebastian Moss

With the Digital Comics Reader set to hit the PlayStation Portable next month, and possibly the PlayStation 3 after that, one could be forgiven for believing that that was all Sony had planned for the service. Now, in an interview with Pete Stott, designer of the service, PlayStation LifeStyle has uncovered plans for a PlayStation Home space for the Comic reader.

PSLS asked:

“In the credits of the Comic Book App, Eamon Murtagh is credited for his work with PlayStation Home, does this mean there will be a PlayStation Home Space?”

Stott replied:

“Good spot, yeah Eamon is currently working on the PlayStation Home Space downstairs as we speak, it’ll be launched in 2010 though, so after the service goes live”

im sure superhero costumes will run rampant for a few weeks, not to mention home spaces, like Tony Stark’s lab. It’ll be interesting, might even be enough to draw me back.

I have a Japanese PSP. I’ve had the Comic Reader icon since the last update, but selecting it takes me to a Japanese website which tells me something will be downloaded, but nothing is.

Usage of the *portable* PSP outside its “region” is rather poor – the “information board” is utterly useless as it only shows Japanese games but when I follow a link to the store it takes me to the European store, and it can’t find the game. Naturally the only region it allows me to select is “Japan”.

I’m worried that the comic reader will suffer from the same problem. It’s a portable, Sony! It should work wherever you are!

    hello …

that would be great to have more contents on PS HOME, i’m kinda active on it yet feels the lack of features that makes me not be compelled to it.

moreover, i agree with some about SONY & Zoning stuffs. I’ve tried two accounts on two different Country zone, they have some minor different contents.

My own country not supported, so no Video on Demand. When will there be a global community or an another country option.

i would also like to have same great features from my African Account that they have on Asian or US accounts or HOME!

having the superheroes on home would be funny … ;)

yet i’m so disappointed with the cold & limited batcave … & i’m a batfan!

make it great or don’t make it at all !!!

    cheers!

Hey guys, I know this is off topic, but I’ve noticed that a lot of articles have comments below them that are quotes of the article, whether its in enlish, or another language, and often times appears posted by PSLS, or another website. Whats the deal with that?

Back on topic – I realize this isn’t what home was designed for, but it’d be cool if you could use some super hero powers for traversal. Sometimes I feel like jogging from one end of an area to the other is just kinda a pain in the butt,,, just speed it up, or let me jump, or something to let me goof around a little more. I can’t be that hard, right?…. oh well, I’m not on it often anyway.
