In February, Vicious Cycle and D3 Publisher brought us Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. The game was full of action game cliches, which ironically, was what the game was criticized for. The title ended up with mixed reviews, and lackluster sales. Now, it seems both the developer and publisher wanted a change, with the 2D PSN title Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond.
The 2D PSN title has a release of January 7th, 2010. It will feature Matt Hazard in a 2D environment, and will use the same comedy formula as the first game. This meaning, it’ll make fun of a lot of stuff.

I kinda like those 2 1/2D games that are on the PSN, it’s just none of them last very long and the
developers never really add DLC or anything to bring you back.
Maybe I’m asking too much…

we need second degree humor games, or at least programmers/developers that don’t take themselves seriously, if sales are great it’ll prove people are still able to see things as they are and laugh of it instead of being bitter and being content of other people’s dismay

I would say you might be asking too much from a $10 – $15 title SolidCake. It would be nice if the developers gave us more DLC for PSN titles, but I just don’t see them wanting to put a lot of effort into these games after their original release.

I liked Eat Lead as well. The humor in it made it very enjoyable. I’ll most likely pick this up depending on price. I only paid $10 for Eat Lead.
