Many big Sony titles, including Jak & Daxter, God of War, and Ratchet & Clank, have received treatment to the tiny Sony PSP. While the titles have been downsized to fit the needs of the pocket-sized portable, they still bring the quality. And it seems a new, familiar racing title may get this desired “treatment”.

GameStop has listed “ModNation” for PlayStation Portable, with an estimated release date of June 1st 2010.

When Sony was contacted for word on this matter, a representative responded:

“Unfortunately, we can’t comment on rumors or speculation related to ModNation Racers.”

Like we’ve said already, many big Sony titles have received the PSP treatment. Here at PSLS, we would not be surprised to see ModNation Racers roar onto our favorite portable gaming system.

  1. I’m not a PSP fan and probably never will buy one but I cannot wait for this game. It looks like a freaking blast.

  2. I’m glad Qore subscribers get access to the ModNation Beta. I really didn’t feel like buying LBP again just to get into the Beta.

    Peace,

the PSP is an excellent handheld gaming system and you are missing out on great games. Modnations is a good idea just like Fat Princess

I just want to be able to play games like Patapon and God of War: Chains of Olympus on my PS3! I have no need for a portable gaming system, and if I’m playing games in my home I would obviously rather just be playing my PS3 or PC games so I really wish they would quit making games like Patapon and new games in franchises like God of War PSP exclusive. I know you’re all going to tell me that Sony is trying to drive the sales of their portable system BUT don’t you think that if they allowed every PS3 user to download and play versions of PSP games that they would end up making more money?? Some people would probably buy the games for both systems and Sony would also get more money from those who refuse to buy a PSP just for a few great games!

giese, they could make more money by allowing them to work on PS3, but they would lose that same money in lack of PSP sales. Its like PS2 games not being in the PS Store. PS2 and PSP are still selling good numbers for “old” systems. You may not like it, but its business.
