Happy sesquidecade! Yes that's 15 years!
The PlayStation brand has been around for a good long while now, since about halfway from when the video games industry started until now. Sony Japan has decided to celebrate by crafting a website in the brand’s honor.
It is highly interactive and features a nice timeline of major releases and events in PlayStation’s history. Although the site is almost entirely in Japanese, it is a nice dedication to the brand that we all know and love. Without PlayStation this site would not even exist! Enjoy exploring the site here. Pay special attention to the giant number 15 made out of various PlayStation hardware and accessory symbols – there’s even those rubber ducks used in technical demonstrations on the PlayStation 2 and 3. See if you can name everything there without cheating!
Seriously, you guys have been so behind on news lately it’s ridiculous. I check IGN and Kotaku, and when I check here two days later it’s like deja fucking vu. What happened?
Happy Birthday Playstation!
The Playstation has given me tons of good memories. I grew up on early game systems but the PS1 was the console I had throughout my teenage years. My brother was a few years older so we would play all of the games together. My favorite, just because it was one of my first PS1 games, was Crash Bandicoot.
@TimPV3:
Maybe it’s a lack of writers and the fact that they’re supporting two websites.
It was 12 years ago that I got my first PlayStation. It’s been a good time so far.
Xbox Lifestyle hasn’t been updated in 4 days. If that’s the case these clowns are in way over their head.
I’ve had the first PlayStation since the get go really, maybe 1 year after release… Still works but the sound can freak out, BUT just gotta use that magic touch to stop it.
And TimPV3 is right, news here lately is quite slow, and I wonder why.
Sadly, yes, I can name all those items. :-/
l’ve owned all the playstation products to this day
I’ve owned all those as well…can’t believe it’s been 15 years
Hahaha, awesome, the PocketStation is on there!
