EA Brings New IP Into the Game
EA Sports has been at the forefront of sports games for more than a decade. With dozens of titles under their belt including the Tiger Woods gold series as well as the highly-acclaimed FIFA and Madden series, EA Sports has dominated the sports scene for quite some time. However, now it’s looking like EA Sports will be adding another IP to their collection in the near future.
Alain Quinto, Community Manager over at EA Sports, recently commented that EA is expecting to announce another sports title next year. Mr. Quinto posted the following on his Twitter account:
“Just heard the execs at EA SPORTS will announce a new game sometime in January. I wonder what it’ll be?”
It’s hard to imagine which sport this soon to be announced game will offer. EA Sports currently has popular titles for every major sport including soccer, football and boxing as well as college sports titles. With the new year approaching quickly, hopefully this new game will be made with the same level of quality as the other popular EA Sports titles.

I’ve not seen any lacrosse video games. I could see it happening though. Almost every high school now has a lacrosse team.
I vote for Rollerderby, Chariot Races, Beer Pong, in that order.

There was a lacrosse game put up on the xbox indie games section, and it was alright for what it was, maybe they saw that. Other than that I would think maybe a baseball series again but I hope not. Looking at top sports in the world though it could be a next gen rugby, or volleyball.
Maybe they can put the full game on the Wii, and then give us half of it with the other half available for download in 10 different bits for $9.99 each, like Tiger Woods golf?
Sorry, I think EA is making some great games these days, but I’m not interested in sports games and hate their business practices with DLC.
I hope it’s a CHL game.
It’d be awesome to play with all the prospects before they are drafted. What’d be even better is if they made some connectivity between a CHL game and the NHL games. Like, it detects your save file and when the players are 20 they are transferred to your farm team, stuff like that.

Maybe it’s different for the wii but for ps3 the dlc are time savers, or new courses. how did the wii version go?
