Modern Warfare 2 Glitches Have Been Discharged
For a while now, Modern Warfare 2 players have been using and been on the receiving end of the infamous Javelin glitch. It’s easy to do and widely known, which has ruined the experience for many. Other nefarious activities such as players are uploading game which have marred the integrity of the leader boards. Infinity Ward confirmed they were hard at work on the 1.06 patch, which will put an end to the online shenanigans.
The 1.06 patch is now live on the PlayStation 3, it fixes the dreaded Javelin glitch which is a relief to all PSN MW2 players. The patch rings in at a light weight 15 mb download.
Robert Bowling mentioned the fixes which would be included:
PS3 update 1.06 is the javelin fix, care package glitch fix, and addresses areas where players could get into geo. Like rocks on Afghan
After all these patches being released, it leads people to raise a question of how long till someone finds a new glitch? Good Luck to IW.

the main problem they have is the trophy glitchs which is unfixable *since trophies exist on the disc so you dont need an update* =\
as long as they fix the major glitches that potentially give an advantage ill be fine.

victorinox – I don’t know what you’re referring to exactly but any glitches with trophies can be fixed via updates…if you haven’t noticed THE GAME ITSELF exists on the disc and yet that can be updated! Updates are installed on the PS3 so that they run whenever you start the game so a trophy fix would work the same as any other update….not to mention most games install the trophy list onto your PS3 anyway
They can add more trophies for DLC, of course they can affect the trophies in an update. It’s great the javelin glitch is gone though, that ruined games. You would be 1 kill from a streak, and you see this guy just come running, doesn’t matter that he’s a block away you’re gonna get blown up.
if you actually read my reply and didnt assume im an idiot. According to my friend the trophy list is part of the disc, meaning if you dont update you can glitch at any time, they can fix the disc but so many are out that it will prob never happen
@victorinox: You are a little misinformed by your special friend since when you log in to the game you are mandated to update patches, which means that those files that are on the disc that are downloaded to the HDD are modified. And you can not replace it with the glitched file from the disc. Even if the trophy list is on the disc and it is downloaded to the HDD. After it is downloaded any patch can change it and as I stated earlier make it non replaceable with the older file.
About time. Once my WoW addiction wears off a bit I’ll be going back to some MW2.
