Awesome news. Uncharted 2 deserves it all.

I’m a bit surprised Flower won something. Exclusive PSN games don’t often generate much hype.

GG should of won something /sigh

I’m just relieved that UC2 got the attention it deserves.

KZ2 best graphics?
i think these guys either need a better TV, glasses or thicker glasses.
anyway, so disappointed Infamous did not win anything.
i would of put that up for the top spot, than assassins creed 2 as second.
i really did not enjoy uncharted 2 that much.
im sick of this run, take cover, pop shoot, move to another cover, pop, shoot, move up rinse and repeat gameplay its getting really old and boring.
oh well, ive said it once, twice so ill say it again.
every year the game that gets GOTY is never the one that deserves it.
so im not surprised.
at least consistent.

@name…
Killzone 2 is graphically a huge technical achievement. To this day there is no game PC or Console that has as many light sources as Killzone 2.
While the graphics may not appear to have the polish of Modern Warfare 2, everything is done in real time.

You have that backwards, every year the game that gets GOTY is the only one that deserves it.
GTA: IV deserved it last year and Uncharted 2 deserves it now.

Gotta say, name, there are SOO many other moments in Uncharted 2 that do not involve “run, take cover, pop shoot, move to another cover, pop…” Not to mention multiplayer.

GTA IV deserving GOTY?
o please.
GTAIV is THE most over rated game of all time.
i dont know about you, but i did not buy GTAIV to be a freaking taxi driver!
drive me here, drive me there, go save roman.
nothing puts me to sleep better and faster than GTAIV.
and this coming from a MASSIVE! GTA fan, i love open world games we have no where near enough of them.
i was so hyped for GTAIV i left tafe early missing a test and almost got kicked out of tafe for it, thats how hyped i was.
plugged it in, played for 2 hours and felt like a massive mountain just fell down and impaled me.
never have i been so disappointed.
still play vice city from time to time, that was THE GTA game, probably the best will ever see.
oh well, hopefully mafia 2 and just cause 2 can be the game GTAIV should of been.
games that get GOTY never do.
2006 oblivion.
2007 COD 4 MW.
2008 GTAIV.
2009 uncharted 2.
neither of those games deserve GOTY
in fact the only one there that slightly deserves GOTY is uncharted 2.
2006 should of gone to rainbow six vegas or the darkness or heavenly sword.
2007 should of gone to bioshock, or ratchet and clank future tools of destruction.
2008 should of gone to metal gear solid 4.
2009 should of gone to infamous.

You forget the GTA Heritage and there are still few companies that pull off open world games well.

God of War still takes an award now that’s awesome

name – inFamous was fun but there is no way that it was a better game than Uncharted 2…it was not as technologically advanced nor was the story nearly as well done. It seems as though your tastes in games are completely backwards from most people in the gaming world…Heavenly Sword winning GOTY in 2006??? Are you kidding me? I don’t really like Oblivion either but I pretty sure you and me are one of the very few. It seems to me that you feel the only games that deserve GOTY are the ones you enjoyed the most that year…and your tastes seem to be very different from the majority of gamers…not that the games you list aren’t good games. The only one I do agree with you on is MGS4 winning over GTAIV…the only reason GTAIV won is because it was multi-platform at a time when the PS3 had a very small market share so most of the voting came from Xbox fans.
