THQ‘s upcoming Darksiders is hitting retailers on January 5th and is looking to start the new year off with a bang. The new IP is already drawing comparisons to the God of War franchise, which is certainly a compliment.

Amazon.com, the world’s largest online retailer is known for knocking off a couple of dollars off the price of video games. For Darksiders, they are knocking $7 off the price of the upcoming game from THQ for a total price of $52.99. Of course as always Amazon offers free shipping on all orders $25 and up. Alternatively you can opt for release-date delivery to ensure you get your copy on the street date.

The Killzone 2 stuff could be sold for 40-60 dollars online and the Infamous stuff ended up selling for almost 40 dollars…
So if someone’s going to buy the game anyway they can technically make their money back. Even if it only goes for 5-10 that’s still an additional discount on the game. So… don’t be such a downer about it k?
I wasn’t being a downer about it, just saying that Playstation Home stuff isn’t enough to make me buy it from one place over another. Now that you brought it up though I will be a little bit of a downer by saying that anyone willing to pay $40 for some clothing to wear in Home is pretty pathetic. However, my main point was that I wasn’t planning on buying the game anyway, so a few extra items won’t change my mind even if I can sell them. Actually, I really wish that places would start including some really cool in-game stuff for free if you pre-order from them and keep those items exclusive to those who pre-ordered instead of releasing them later for everyone else.
