Does it weird anyone else out that it spells “PAY” in bigger letters? I can’t stop reading that.

  2. Oooh that’s nice, I might just ask for this for Christmas. I only ever rented the original Uncharted because I could not afford games back when it was out (didn’t have a job!).

  3. TheHater says:

wow. that is fricken amazing deal

  4. I haz no needz fo either

  5. Jasx501 says:

    @ onionpaper:
Yeah I noticed that right away. Funny in a way.

Hopefully they release other games with it. I would pick one up pretty quick if they did.

  6. name says:

but why purchase a second controller when there is what 5 games? that support co-op on the ps3.
whats the point of that second controller?
thats one thing sony, and other publishers need to get onto.
no where enough games support co-op these days.
and im talking about offline co-op like what resistance fall of man had, none of this online only co-op BS other games have.

  7. Name – maybe you want the other controller for competitive gaming??? You know, if you have a friend round and you want to play FIFA, Smackdown Vs Raw, Pro Evolution Soccer, Madden, NBA LIVE, NHL, UFC, MLB: The Show, etc, etc.

There’s more than just co – op for multiplayer gaming, you know?

  8. tau_caste says:

there are actually a few games that have co-op.. you just need to find them. resistance 2 has it also, and resi 5, cod WAW and MW2, LBP, most of the EA sports games, army of 2 (and army of 2 2), Vegas and vegas 2, motorstorm, borderlands, pretty well any fighting game (ie soul calibur, tekken etc), dragon ball z, ghostbusters, haze, not to mention pretty well every psn game.. there are a lot of games that support offline multiplayer (i would know seeing as thats where the majority of my gaming comes from due to really bad internet connnection). so your comment is pretty well wrong sorry to say.

and when you look back at previous playstation consoles… multiplayer was even rarer and didnt have that online support. anywhoo wish this would come out here.. maybe with colin mcrae dirt or something.

  9. name says:

yea but theres barely any games that support 2 player now is there?
never been a fan of sport games, i except NRL.
if i want to go play fifa ive got a massive soccer field 2 minute walk from my place.
i remember when my cuz came over all we use to play was killzone.
he was shitting his pants dying to come over and play some split screen with me with KZ2, but surprise surprise it dont have split screen along with 99.9999999999% ps3 games.
i want offline co-op because friends or family members are constantly coming over and were constantly playing pass the potato.
now if 5 friends come over, it gets bloody boring sitting there watching each 5 play a mission till its your turn.
then comes family holidays like christmass where the whole family’s here.
HAZE, rainbow six vegas 1,2 resistance fall of man, little big planet are the only games i can think off that have 2 player compatibility.
hell for the sake of it lets say theres 50.
50 out of the how many ?
there may be some games that support offline co-op but no where near as many as there should be.
and no where near as many as the 360 has,

Ya know, back when I was your age, we had to pay $400 for a PS3, just the core system! Had to walk miles through the snow just to get to Best Buy too!

  11. @name – dude, they just named a ton of games in the above posts. Admittedly, I too am always really dissapointed when I get a game that says “co op” on the back, and then I find out its online only. I think the real question to ask here is…. why in the hell are we able to hook up 7 controllers at one time? What possible use could we have for that???? By the way… some more games that have local play modes: (most are PSN)
    WipeOut HD
Pixel Junk Shooter, Eden, Monsters, and Racers (yay Q-games!)
    Trine
Resistance 2 (but split screen mode sucks)
    Ragdoll Kungfu
    High Velocity Bowling
    Bomberman (the PSN version)

I know theres more, I just can’t think of the atm. For the record though, I own four controllers, and have only two games that support that: Rag Doll Kungfu and Little Big Planet. So while I’m not as fired up as you about it, I’m right there with ya on wanting more local play games.

  12. giese095 says:

name – all of the latest Call of Duty game support offline co-op modes, Army of Two, Borderlands, Unreal Tournament…I agree there still aren’t that many but it should be enough to keep you and your friends busy for a little while and be enough of a reason to have a second controller….AND if you don’t want the second controller for someone else to play then you can just use it so that you don’t have to stop playing wirelessly when the battery on one gets low. I have three dual shocks but when I don’t have two other people over playing I use them in a rotation so that I’m not constantly recharging the same controller, hopefully prolonging all of their battery lives and also it’s nice to never have to be wired to the PS3.

onionpaper – that is interesting, but since they really aren’t making you “PAY” that much it isn’t really symbolic for anything, is it?

  13. @giese
Thats like saying something that spelled DRINK that was on top of a bar had nothing to do with the fact you get drunk in the bar. It’s called advertisement, and they’re using a subliminal message. It’s pretty clever, considering they picked a single player game for something people looking to play multiplayer are going to want.

  14. onionpaper says:

they’re encouraging you to pay anything, really. While it looks like a good deal, it seems like you’re only really saving yourself about $14 if you had already PLANNED to go and pick up both of these things. Considering greatest hits is $30 and amazon sells controllers for $43. If you never thought about buying uncharted, well then there they’ve made their money if you bought this pack.

  15. Max Murray says:

Anyone still have that deal where you get uncharted free if you buy infamous? THAT would be a deal….

  16. Why have a bundle that gives a second controller and a game that is 1-player only? That doesn’t make sense. They should have bundled a controller with Little Big Planet or some other multi-player game.

  17. Yeah second controllers are good for sports games. I use them a lot for that. Plus, like a previous poster said, it is always nice to have a second one. What is it with people complaining about good deals?! :P By the way, if I was going to pick both of these up, $14 dollars of savings sounds good to me!

  18. DGR8Mc187 says:

It’s always nice to have a spare controller….
Especially when I have a tantrum while playing and demolish the one I am using, lol

  19. alisound says:

    @name-

Warhawk. 4 player drop- in/out splitscreen offline and online. and if you are online you get to play with 28 other people too. so that is 32 in total.

why does everybody forget that. what Xbox game lets you do that?

  20. Name, I guess you dont have too many real life friends to warrant an extra controller. You know, 2 player games? There are lots of them that arent co-op
