I can’t wait for this to be released…I also can’t believe that the first image is in-game, that is really amazing. I definitely had to take a double take to make sure it wasn’t real people.

  4. watch the second video on this page (unfortunatelly comments are in french, the game is french by the way)

@giese095 yeah I think it looks real enough, until you notice the hands. Everyone is spreading their fingers apart so wide, and i don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone like that walking naturally, let alone an entire crowd of people.

I’m excited for the game, it looks nice, but it really confuses me sometimes when video games have characters that look so real, and I’m worried that this game is deep in the uncanny valley.

  7. Basically, it s possible to interact on everything (every chair, every door, etc etc)
Facing a door you can knock at it,ring,or call for someone…
While “infiltrating/escaping” you have to take care to everything you are doing (not to move too rapidly orelse the wooden floor will crackle and alert the dangerous taxidermist killer)…
they also tried to make feel the player uncomfortable while doing uncomfortable things (hiding in a cupboard means having to hold down 4 buttons to keep the door closed -becose it doesnt close properly without holding it with your fingers…) Every scene has multiple ending/possibilities (see part 2 of the second video i advised you just above)
There are different characters in different “sub stories” (but with a main general plot)

This seems like it will be a very good game. Visually it’s awesome. I hope the gameplay will keep me in to it.

  9. [...] Heavy Rain was shown for its very first time at E3 2006, thousands were surprised at just how real the game [...]
