Since its public release almost exactly a year from today, PlayStation Home was opened to the masses. Gradually, the social networking community grew exponentially as incentives arose from Sony’s European studios. From new content to new features, gamers have had great reason to move into PlayStation Home.

As the first annual cycle of Home’s open beta comes to a finish, SCE has revealed that over 10 million PlayStation 3 users have logged into the virtual world. According to the business manager of Home, Dan Hill:

“PlayStation Home is fast becoming the meeting place of choice between users and developers…A game space in PlayStation Home ought to be a core element of every studio’s marketing strategy for new titles.”

Now with the addition of MMO-like spaces and activities, it is only logical that PlayStation Home will continue to grow at an exponential rate.

Yeah, 3 of those logins were me! I just bought a “holiday” tree for my apartment the other day. Man I really do some stupid stuff sometimes.

Well a lot of peeople will log INTO home, but regular usage is questionable.

No before you read ANYTHING ELSE go log into home RIGHT NOW and play the game in the Sodium space. That is a bad ass game. It looks like a futuristic, almost steam punk looking blaster game with a total of 50 levels. You get 5 to start off with, but after paying 5 dollars you unlock 45. I was torn between playing Modnation Racers and Sodium yesturday and I’m going back to buy the jacker that unlocks the rest of the game.

There’s actually a lot of changes going on in Home and if Sony ever stops calling Home a Beta (like Google eventually did after years of Gmail) you’ll be seeing a HUGE difference from the experience that Home was providing between beta and official launch.

Home really isn’t that expensive though. Websites like Gaia Online and other sites have clothes that are 4-8 dollars so that you buy them, and then sell them later on when their market prices increase IF they increase. I’m going back to the sodium space now.

All the need to do is keep blasting the “What’s New” section with whatever’s new on Home to get users interested in check it out. I go on like once a week just because of things I hear about on this site and others. Never just because but only to check out something new that I’ve heard about. And especially have whatever free on the a key point to get more users to log in and explore.

    hello ..

(repeating here), me & my wife are two of the 10 Millions ;) & i go on it at least 2-3 times / week … it’s quite nice.

I will check out the Sodium thingy, yet i don’t have access to cheap EU PSN cards, so not sure will buy it.

SONY it’s about time you accept more countries …

    cheers!
