My vote would have went to the pen that is also a jet car. Because owning a real life transformer would be the coolest thing ever.

However I recommend that Sony name the next Playstation the PS’not’4

its not Sonys problem to fix a 3rd party issues… they lead with the 360 we get a shitty port.. they lead with the PS3 both get an equal port. Even if they could add more to the PS3 version, they wont because it would make the PS3 version superior and alienate the 360 crowd.

the shortage of diodes didnt make it more expensive, it set back production. Blue Ray diodes were new at that time and that mad them more expensive not the shortage

I hope they come up with a great new name for it. Sony PlayStation 3 Squared, only not so nerdy lol. Also I doubt it will be anywhere nearly as expensive as the PS3 was when it released. It was $500-$600 because it had such new technology for the time – the Cell Broadband Engine, XDR RAM, and let’s not forget the shortage of blue laser diodes that also made them more expensive.

In my opinion they should just focus on maxin out this gen before even thinking about the next gen. I still believe that there is more to do with the current gen. Because titles like the UC series and the other great exclusives still seem like they can get better. Plus they should be looking into the multiplatform problems and finding a solution for that and atleast hooking up backward compatiablity across all the version of PS3. That’s not as important as the multiplatform junk they’ve been letting these developers get away with, but it seems like something that’s been a factory standard that got left out. A new system now will seem like some psp bull and not something that atleast a full 6 or more years would produce. Plus they don’t want to get labelled at a Sega-esk company that doesn’t support their product long enough to make comsumers feel secure enough to spend hundreds of dollars on, only to feel like they’ve been left behind for progress and that their investment was in vain.

you know I really dont know a way for a better playstation. PS3 is pretty solid. Only possible way to get better is to add more memory to the ps3. I think Sony has the essentials pretty solid right now.

Looking forward to it, as long it isn’t ridiculously expensive. I kind of think next gen won’t be the huge leap this gen was – it’s not like they’re going to go from hi-def to super hi-def, or Blu ray to whatever, in the next two years. I anticipate more processing power, much larger hard drives, and perhaps a more reasonable price point. I think Sony probably learned something from this gen.

I don’t think anyone desires another xbox after the fiasco that is the 360. Too many people got screwed by the shoddy hardware and won’t be buying MS again. I know I am one.

I didn’t think I would be supporting Sony this gen but after getting my first PS3 I went crazy. I now own 2 because the system and game sharing work so well. My old XBMC hasn’t been fired up in a long time either because of media compatibility. Well done Sony keep up the good work and don’t pull a Nintendo next gen.

I’m looking forward to it but I don’t want it anytime soon. From what I can tell the PS3 still has a lot of potential yet to be tapped and I want to make sure Sony squeezes every last bit out of the PS3 before they switch over. I’ve only had my PS3 for 2 years, I want it to be the best console for another 4 at least just so I feel I got my moneys worth. Not to mention I won’t feel like spending another $400-500 on a console for at least that long! (Hopefully it isn’t more than $500, I would hope Sony learned their lesson from having the price too high with the PS3)
