I’m passing on MAG and Gran Turismo 5. I have too many shooters to play and racing games aren’t my thing. I can not wait for the rest though. Finally get a good Japanese RPG in Feburary, I don’t know a PS3 owner who isn’t looking forward to God of War 3 in March, been wanting Heavy Rain since the taxidermist footage, and if you don’t buy The Last Guardian you deserve to be shot.
Sev, what do you mean by “A boy and his Trico”? It’s posted under The Last Guardian. Not understanding what you mean, is the beast named Trico? That would be great if it was since that was the codename everyone was giving the game.

Here is the info I have on the beast…
“The name of the creature, Trico (トリコ, Toriko), can be taken to mean “prisoner” (虜, toriko), “baby bird” (鳥の子供, tori no kodomo), or a portmanteau of “bird” (鳥, tori) and “cat” (猫, neko)”

so many good titles…I can’t wait!

Nice article about some very promising games. I was putting together a list of the games I want to get in 2010 and it is crazy long. Out of the games in this article I can’t wait for WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, and The Last Guardian.

hello …
i’m getting all of them, oooh my poor wallet!
seriously & surely, i’m going for GT5, The Last Guardian, God of War III, Heavy rain!
For MAG, i must check it back again – my net is not that fast , WKC – i’m not a real fan of the genre, i would like to try it out before deciding, hopefully a demo comes along. Mod nation racers, maybe later on.
the PS3 has one of the most impressive lineup, i’m happy of my choice!
cheers!
December 19th, 2009 at 2:43 AM
where did you get that mod nation racers release date? it’s the first I hear about it, no other site has that date listed
resistance 3 is unofficially confirmed for Q4 2010, flower 2 is confirmed for 2010 too for the motion controller, you can also add The Agency, DC online and Final Fantasy 14, even if they’re not really exclusives because they will be on PC as well but no on 360
also this list is pre E3, there’s always at least 2 or 3 more exclusives announced on the E3 or sooner, my guess is that we’ll see a new Twisted Metal and another PS2 franchise returning
but I’m pretty sure that The Last Guardian will be part of the 2011 line up, along with Agent and Final Fantasy Versus 13

The MAG beta was extremely fun, so I’ll probably get it but after a price drop maybe. And GW3 is preorder title. I don’t know about ModNation Racer just downloaded the beta but just not interested in playing. Maybe it’ll grow on me.

ModNation Racers and GoW III should keep me busy for a while…
December 19th, 2009 at 3:46 AM
I love it! I don’t like Japanese RPG’s and I’m not sure I’ll get GT5 yet but pretty much every other exclusive is a must buy!! Not to mention I can’t wait for the new motion controllers! I say anyone who isn’t looking forward to them is obviously against realism and progress, or just plain lazy cuz they don’t want to have to get off their asses to play a game!
What do XBox owners get this year?? Another iteration of Halo, Mass Effect 2 and about 20 shovelware titles that they’ll try to rub in our face just because of the shear number of titles! What an exciting list!

Eyepet isn’t out in the US yet?! REALLY?! YES I’ve wanted to do this for ages! Sucks to be you US, we got eyepet and you don’t and guess what it’s awesome we get tons of free stuff for it and you-a can’t have it yet!
Boo-Hoo for you U-S-A! *Remembers they already got the GOW collection* Crap…..
December 19th, 2009 at 11:18 AM
No mention of DC Universe Online?! I for one can’t wait to create my Green Lantern-ish superhero and fight alongside Bats and Supes!
But out of this list:
I’ll definitely be getting God of War 3.
I’m tempted by White Knight Chronicles and ModNation Racers
I wanted MAG but I was in the Beta and I gotta admit that after the initial “Coooool!”, I kinda changed my mind. I’m not really interested anymore.

So it is a mixed a baby bird and cat , so baby griphon?
It would be cool to see a last gaurdian Eyepet wouldn’t it?

Thanks Sev, that makes sense now since it was codenamed Project Trico. I was thinking they just meant the third project for Team ICO, but it was actually refering to the beast in the game.
@The80s, Wraithbringer: It mentions this is part one of the exclusives, that’s why those games weren’t mentioned.
12/19/2009 at 2:36 PM
these are First-Party Exclusives, meaning they are being published by SCEA, that is why Yakuza 3 and others are not on this list.
December 19th, 2009 at 3:10 PM
Oh man, I’m gonna buy Gran Turismo 5, play it for months and months – how am I going to fit all these other great games in there!?!
December 19th, 2009 at 3:36 PM
Isn’t Sony Online Entertainment also considered first-party? (pardon my ignorance on the subject)
December 19th, 2009 at 3:37 PM
God of War 3 is going to pwn every game in 2010. Modnation racers looks fun
December 19th, 2009 at 7:37 PM
erm, i bought the eyepet game 2 months ago. i live in uk.. it was an october 2009 release.
